“Holy Saturday: Compassion Harrowing of Hell”

During our weekly Saturday practice at Urban Dharma, Dorje Lopon Dr. Hun Lye gave a teaching within the context of an Avalokiteshvara group practice. The topic of the teaching was inspired by it being “Holy Saturday” according to the Christian calendar, and thus the title: “Holy Saturday: Compassion Harrowing Of Hell.”
Urban Dharma NC is a public Buddhist center in western North Carolina that emphasizes integrating rather than compartmentalizing, engaging rather than retreating, communing rather than isolating. Our mission is to foster a deeper understanding of the teachings of the Buddha, build meaningful community, and integrate contemplative teachings into everyday, ordinary life.
