We’re Lisa and Najwa, two ladies running a brownie company. But we’re not here to talk about brownies… mostly. We’re here to talk all about why we can’t get straight answers about what’s in our food and where it comes from, our complicated societal history with food, and what exactly is wrong with the American food system.
But before we can do that, we have to talk about something else: what’s wrong with us, Lisa and Najwa.
In this episode, we introduce ourselves, share our journey of realizing that our food system is f*cked, and that much of the information around food shared with us is total bullsh*t, and what we plan to do about that fact (spoiler alert: it’s related to our brownie business and this podcast.) Plus, we’ll give you a little peek into the theme of season 1.
