Ameé has been an advocate for raising awareness about domestic violence, in part due to her personal experience with financial and emotional abuse. While it seems help is just a phone call away for people in a domestic violence situation but there is also uncertainty of what happens when you do ask for help from strangers. And as we know from human behavior, we tend to chose the devil we know over the one we don’t. And so when we don’t understand how the resources work, we might be afraid to use them.

That’s why this episode's guest is Ginny Ware, the Home Safe Program Director from New Beginnings – a Seattle area organization with a mission to empower survivors of domestic violence and to raise community aware and actions to end it.
