After surviving an acid attack at the young age of 24, Katie Piper is now a thriving author, activist, TV presenter and model who is always advocating for women who have suffered burns and disfigurement injuries. Together, Katie and Alice discuss how Katie fought and overcame her injuries not only physically but how it took a toll on her mentally. Katie opens up to Alice about how she didn’t have a phone or social media for a long time and how she was faced with showing her changed appearance online but now she is proud about how she looks and doesn’t use filters to hide anything.
