Ryan Valley aka “Tuna” is a brown belt in BJJ under 10th planet Black Belt Nabil Salameh based out of Titan Training Center in Metro Vancouver. Ryan originally got into BJJ to help him lose weight and help him get over a breakup. A story is common to many it has brought him health and happiness as he now regularly teaches to kids, teens, and adults. He is a bit of a jokester and was formerly passionate about magic. He wants to use BJJ and martial arts to help the next generation be better versions of themselves for as the Whitney Houston song suggests “Children are our Future“. In this episode, we talk about BJJ, Teaching, The lost art of the conversation, and what’s going on in the world. Remember, martial artists are not just meatheads and many of us can also have reasonable discourse about a variety of topics.
