Welcome to the segment of Epic Maui Journey where I was beginning to ramp the energy up into spine-tingling, foot-stomping anthems. I started this set off with Paloma Faith's most brilliant remake of "Make Your Own Kind Of Music" by Cass Elliot. From there I weaved through anthemic house and disco house masterpieces. My surprises during this set are of course the "Make Your Own Kind Of Music" but also include the remake of Michael Jackson's classic "Earth Song" by Revival & The GeO Gospel Choir (which was undeniably one of the biggest house music anthems of the last year). Also included is a breathtaking remix of Betty Wright's "Open The Door To Your Heart". by Kevin McKay and Barry Harris' brilliant remix of The Jacksons' "Can You Feel It". Surrounding those centerpieces I also included anthems by my favorite producers KC Lights and Purple Disco Machine. Everything all put together produced over an hour of music that pushed us into full on euphoric hysteria. Perfection under the bright and sunny skies. ;-)
