Lauren recently competed in the Olympic Trials in the 10,000m. She qualified for that race less than a year postpartum at the Portland Track Festival.

Lauren was a professional triathlete for a long time after starting to compete in triathlon while in college. She has done 11 70.3 half Ironmans. In this episode, we talk about what it was like to be a professional triathlete and why she is so much happier now. We talk a lot about what it meant to qualify for the Olympic Trials and the experience of switching over to running from triathlon. Since the trials, she has gone on to place 7th at the USATF 10k Road Championships at the Peachtree 10k in Atlanta.

Lauren also coaches with her husband through their business Blacksheep Endurance Project.
