Arthritis Consumer Experts (ACE) finds itself reflecting over a quarter century of meaningful service to people with arthritis as it celebrates its 25th anniversary this December.
In this special holiday episode of Arthritis at Home, Kelly Lendvoy and Cheryl Koehn looks back at ACE’s leadership in patient engagement and promoting consumer participation models and strategies that are now embedded in arthritis research and policy-making processes. They also discuss ACE’s role in advocating for the rights of people with arthritis to benefit equally from the many therapies now available to them and from non-medication aspects of their care – mental health struggles, job disruption, sleep disturbances, relationship challenges – areas where support is still sorely needed.
