12. Planning Happiness - Keeping the Flow ( #3 of 4 Episodes)
Manage episode 341435928 series 3372246
If you’ve been following along with the Habit Thrive Podcast this month, then you’ve spent the past 2 weeks on Planning Happiness.
Starting your day with intention? … check ✓
Making a plan for the flow of your day? … check ✓
So, now what?
How do we keep the flow going day after day?
A good start is simply noticing the natural flow of your day.
Where is the happiness?
Where is the joy?
Where are the challenges?
The "noticing" is the first of 3 steps we’re talking about on Episode #12 of the Habit Thrive Podcast this week.
When you are aware of how you feel throughout the day and what methods and motivations work best for you, then you can better plan your flow.
Maybe you hate yard work but know you have to weed the garden. Plan to reward yourself after the task is done with a beverage and a book on the back porch.
Or maybe you have some paperwork that needs attention, so you plan to tackle it after a meditation session to clear your mind.
When you plan your day, your brain and body know what’s coming up next, and you successfully create your flow!
So let’s get going …
Start planning time in your day for the things the bring you joy, and let’s cultivate some optimism!
And if you are super excited and serious about the idea of planning your happiness, I would love for you to join my Planning Happiness - “Get er Done Session” using Google Calendar on Wednesday, September 28th, at 7 p.m. EST. Secure your spot here. It is a Zoom session, and the recording will be available as well.
