As the Founder and CEO of Time Study, Kishau is one of the first Black women in the state of Virginia to raise millions in venture capital to scale her tech startup.
Time Study is a platform that uses artificial intelligence to help enterprises understand the impact of how their employees spend their time. Time Study serves many of the largest health organizations in the US.
She founded and operated software consulting firm, Websmith Inc, and for over fourteen years, partnering with leading health & research organizations across the globe in making their software ideas real. In 2018, Kishau launched TimeStudy Inc., a platform that uses artificial intelligence to help enterprises understand the impact of how their employees spend their time. Headquartered in New York City, Time Study is used by four out of the top 10 hospitals in the United States as ranked by the U.S. News and World Report.
Kishau is featured in national publications including the Wall Street Journal, Entrepreneur, NFIB, Black Enterprise, and Forbes. She is a recipient of many awards including the VCU Distinguished Alumni (in Computer Science), NAWBO Wells Fargo STEM award, the Lyn McDermid Community Impact Award, and the MBL Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
At the core of Kishau's work is an intention to make a real, positive difference in the world. She served as an advisor for the first U.S. White House Hackathon for Foster Care and is the co-founder of SheHacks Africa a software engineering intensive providing training to women & girls in over three African nations. In her commitment to STEM and leveraging technology for social good, she also serves as an advisor/board member for organizations like AI for Afrika, Think Of Us, WAAW Foundation, and VCU Department of Computer Science.
Kishau grew up in Lynchburg, Virginia and holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Virginia Commonwealth University. Kishau splits her time between Richmond, VA and New York, NY with her husband Bernard and their two kids and two dogs.
