Are You Making This Lead Magnet Mistake? Episode Summary: There’s a lot of bad advice floating around in the online space, especially when it comes to lead magnets. If you’ve ever been told that your Human Design type dictates the kind of lead magnet you should create—throw that advice out the window! Are You Using Content Creation as a Procrastination Tool? In this episode of Unjaded , Vickie Dickson unpacks a common entrepreneurial pitfall: using content creation as a procrastination tool. Drawing on insights from a client session, Vickie shares why endlessly creating without publishing, launching, or selling can keep you stuck in your business. If you’ve ever found yourself reworking a podcast, blog, or course for the 100th time, this episode will challenge you to take action and move forward. Key Takeaways: Detach from Responsibility for Client Outcomes: As coaches or service providers, we can guide and support, but ultimately, clients are responsible for their decisions and progress. Letting go of this responsibility frees you to focus on what you can control. Procrastination Disguised as Perfectionism: Creating and refining content without publishing or selling often stems from a fear of imperfection. Remember: done is better than perfect. The only way to test your ideas is by putting them out into the world. Validate Before You Create: Instead of creating courses, programs, or assets before knowing if they’re viable, test your ideas through beta launches or audience feedback. This ensures your efforts align with what your audience truly needs. Grow Your Audience: Publishing lead magnets, launching funnels, and actively engaging with your audience are essential for building a sustainable business. Without an engaged audience, your content won’t have the impact or reach it deserves. Take Imperfect Action: Successful entrepreneurs take action despite fear or imperfection. Your willingness to take the first step encourages others to trust you and take steps in their own journeys. Actionable Challenge: Take one piece of content you’ve created but haven’t published—a blog post, podcast episode, social media post, or lead magnet—and release it into the world. Imperfect action is the key to progress. Special Announcement: Join Vickie’s FREE three-day masterclass series to fix what’s not working in your business! 4 Key Strategies to Amplify Your Content in 2025 Welcome to Unjaded If you’re new here, I’m Vickie Dickson, a holistic marketing strategist and copywriter. I specialize in helping entrepreneurs align their energy with their Human Design to create businesses they love—without breaking their lives. In this episode, we’re diving into four essential strategies to focus on in 2025 for building impactful, lasting content. Whether you’re looking to create content that resonates, attract clients, or simply escape the burnout of social media’s constant demand, this episode is for you. What You’ll Learn in This Episode: Know the problem you solve: Why understanding your client’s pain points is the foundation of successful content creation. Be where people search for solutions: How to focus on long-form platforms like blogs, YouTube, podcasts, and Pinterest to build evergreen content. Stop relying solely on social media: Why social media is best for brand awareness—not the be-all and end-all for client attraction. Rethink how you use AI: Use AI as a tool for inspiration, not as a substitute for your authentic voice. Highlights: Ideal clients aren’t about demographics: It’s not about the car they drive or their age. It’s about solving their specific problem. Evergreen content lasts longer: Invest in platforms that people use to search for solutions rather than fleeting social media posts. Guest on podcasts: You don’t need your own podcast to get noticed. Guesting on niche neighbour's’ podcasts is a great way to expand your reach. Authenticity is key: Use AI sparingly and intentionally—authenticity will set you apart in 2025 and beyond. Life is gonna kick you around. Stay Unjaded ! ✌️ 💙 Vickie Episode Transcript I would love to unpack my recent experience of branding with you today and let me know if this is how it's been for you where when we talk about branding, we picture logos and fonts and colors and ideal client exercises and all of the things and I'm so over that. Welcome to Unjaded. This is your straight talk shoot from the hip, wrapped in a little bit of love Human Design for Business podcast. We talk a lot here about clarifying your message so that you can bring in paid clients with ease. And ease is different from easy. Stick around to find out how we roll here. I'm your host, Vicky Dixon. I am a 24 emotional manifesting generator, light on the motional and I'm a quadright in human design in RealSpeak. I am an entrepreneur of 30 plus years. I've had every kind of business there is and I always say that business is my love language. I can't wait to dive in with. You here on the podcast. So I've been looking for a branding strategist for quite some time. I have known that I am in a spot in my business where I am looking ahead to the next level and I know that what got me here is not going to get me there and I'm not finding exactly the right thing to get me to that next level. Now in my human design, I am a second line profile. And as a second line, we are notorious for not understanding our gifts and not being able to articulate them clearly. And you know, I have been in my groove, making it work with my message, making it work with the people that I'm here to serve, all of the opportunities that are coming my way as a 2 4, all the things. And then it was time where I was being faced with like, oh, things have really changed in my world. I do this thing that you may be doing too in your business where I don't want to brag too much, I gloss over some of my accomplishments because I don't want it to be about me. Even though I know, looking at my own human design that it is all about me. So I'm going to unpack that with you. But I'm going to start with the branding guy that I found and I'm hoping to share him with you. I'm hoping that he will join us on a podcast episode because he has some great insights to share. So your brand. Yes. Your colors matter. Yes. Your fonts matter. Yes. The look of your brand matters. But I knew when I was interviewing all these brand specialists that it was about A lot more than that for me right now. It was like getting down to the thing that differentiates me in the space. And that's what we all need to know. We need to know what is it about you that is different than everyone else in your space? What is your category of one? How are you a category of one? And particularly if you were a second line, this is going to be really hard to get to on your own. I'm not saying that you can't. I'm just saying that you know how it is, right? It is so easy for you to do the work that you do for everyone else. And then when you go to turn it on yourself, you're like, oh, where do I start? And I'm like that too. I can do it for others this. But ask me to do this work for myself sometimes. And we all need someone who is not inside of it with us, right? It's like you can never read the label from the inside of the medicine bottle, right? You have to be on the outside looking in. So I found this brand strategist and he is amazing. And he is human design informed and he knows human design for business. And he has been working in a marketing agency for a long, long time. He just gets all things business. So I think it's a marriage of the two, right? And that's where I'm at in my business is a marriage of the two. I've said many times I will never again work with a coach who is not human design informed because it makes all the difference in the world. So when you are looking at your own brand, when you are trying to differentiate yourself, I invite you to start with your human design. Look deeply into your human design. And I'm talking deep. I'm not talking. I'm a manifesting generator. I'm a projector. I'm a reflect. I'm not talking about that, okay? I'm talking understand all of the nuances of how your design works together, how all of the pieces come together and provide the synthesis of you. You have to know that within your design. You don't have to know it. I mean, someone can know it for you. If they are working with you. They can. They can show it to you. But we see you so clearly mapped within your human design. Look at your channels and the energy of your channels. So I worked with two women in the last two weeks, completely different women. One of them, I looked into her design and I saw that she was all about what she's here to offer others. It is really not about her. What do you think every coach who she has worked with has told her to do? Bring more of herself into her business. Her design is not for her. All of her gifts are for others to draw out of her. I worked with another woman whose entire design is about her, just like mine is. Everything is about how she does things and she brings people along on the journey. And she has been told by every coach she has worked with until me that she makes it too much about her. She's unrelatable. She's very relatable, by the way, in her content. But coaches have told her that because she talks about her own experience, others won't be able to relate to her. Everything in her human design is about bringing others along and showing them what she has learned through her experience. It's the only way she can run her business because it's how she's designed to run her business. So your branding is so much more than the surface level stuff. Getting down to the crux of what you are here to say. What is the purpose that you serve on the planet? Who do you work best with? What sets you apart from everyone else in your field? Do you know what your competitors are doing? Do you know what they offer? And I don't believe in competition. However, your potential customers are looking at other people in your space. Who are they following? What makes you different than the people that they are following? What makes you better suited to serve that client? And you've heard me say this before on the podcast. If you've been here a while, you got to know your ideal client on a much deeper level than she has blonde hair that she gets colored once every six weeks, she drives a Subaru, she has 2.3 children, she's divorced, she makes $80,000 a year, she lives in the suburbs. Need I go on? Those ideal client exercises are over with. Think about who you are as it relates to your human design or as it is shown to you in your human design. Who did you come here to be? How do you be that for your clients? And what is the problem that you solve? And that's how you're going to be able to position yourself in the market in a way that sells your services. And you don't have to make it fancy. You don't have to be made up. You don't have to be perfect. You don't have to have AI generated eyeballs that follow people along. When you're on your workshops, you can follow your notes. You can be all of who you came here to be because Your person needs you to be that for them. And that is how you build a brand that matters.…

Life is gonna kick you around. Stay Unjaded ! ✌️ 💙 Vickie Episode Transcript Today I'd like to take you behind the scenes in one of the modules in Content by Design, specifically Human Design Profile. How you are designed to show up, who you are designed to show up as in the movie that is your life, in your business, in your relationships, in anything that you do. This is often the most overlooked piece of your human design and we're going to dive into it today on unjaded. Welcome to Unjaded. This is your straight talk, shoot from the hip, wrapped in a little bit of love. Human Design for Business podcast. We talk a lot here about clarifying your message so that you can bring in paying clients with ease. And ease is different from easy. Stick around to find out how we roll here. I'm your host, Vicky Dixon. I am a 2, 4 emotional manifesting generator, light on the motional and I'm a quadright in human Design in realspeak. I am an entrepreneur of 30 plus years. I've had every kind of business there is and I always say that business is my love language. I can't wait to dive in with you here on the podcast. So your human design profile is said to be the role that you play in the movie of your life. It is the most innate part of who you are here to be and how you move through your life. Now, in traditional human design, we are taught over and over and over again that we are going to be most conditioned in our openness. And this is one of the things that I have a real problem with because I find that we get a lot of conditioning, even the most conditioning in the places that we are the most defined. Who you are here to be is the place where you are going to get knocked around by life over and over and over again. And your human design profile is no different. So today in Content by Design, we were talking mostly about the angst around fifth line profiles and second line profiles. So that's going to be the focus of this episode. I will do other episodes that unpack other profiles, but these two just came up. So it's really fresh in me to address these things. So let's start with fifth line profiles. I always say that fifth line profiles are the square pegs trying to fit into the round holes and they don't fit. They don't ever, ever fit. I picture fifth line little girls because when I look at your design, I'm looking at the child that was you. The child who came into this world absolutely perfect and had this big purpose of who they were here to be. And then maybe well meaning, maybe not. Adults Got their hands on you and tried to make you conform. Tried to make you fit in with the rest of society. So today I was talking with a beautiful fifth line profile. And she has a defined will, which is another highly conditioned place in human design. You give me a woman with a defined will and I will give you someone who plays small every damn day until they decondition. So she has a defined will. She has gate 51 which is the gate of shock and initiation. She has the 4323. Channel 4323 is all about insights. Really being able to have these radical insights. Lots of times people with this energy in their designs, like they don't learn in traditional ways and nobody gets what they have to say. They have these really unique ways of thinking and processing information and people don't get it in traditional human design. It's genius to freak channel just with that picture in your mind. Just think about this little girl. She's here to shock and initiate people into change. She has a defined will. She's meant to be assertive. She is here to know. She's all that in a bag of chips. And then she's got this fifth line profile. She's a 5:1 profile. So the fifth line profile is the heretic. The fifth line profile is here to tell it like it is. And oftentimes it's uncomfortable. So here's what came up in our session today. Other fifth lines were speaking and this one woman said, you know what? I feel this so deeply in my bones and I have healed this relationship with my mother. However, I know as a child, I could feel it in my body as a child when I would say the thing that needed to be said, when I would say the thing that nobody would say. And she would have a knee jerk reaction to me. She would have a visceral reaction to what I was saying because it was truth, but she wasn't able to hear it from me. And so I learned to soften. I learned to hide my truth. I learned to not say the thing because it was safer. And that's one of the things that came up a lot in today's conversation. We also had a manifesto, a 35 manifestor on the call. And she was talking about how she is so damn scared to say what she knows she needs to say. She has a big vision and a big mission and every time she goes to say it, she feels that noose around her neck telling her she can't say it like that because somebody is going to be annoyed, somebody is going to Be downright pissed off. Someone is going to walk away. And I'm kind of here to push back on that a little bit and tell you that you're meant to be scared. You have to do it scared. If you're not scared in your business to say the thing that you know you need to say, especially at first, then you're probably playing too safe in your business. If you don't have a healthy amount of fear around, oh my gosh, this is huge. Then you're probably playing too small in your business. So back to profile. The conditioning of fifth line profiles, I feel like, especially little girls, is if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. You can't say it like that. Don't be so harsh. And this one, fifth line profile, she was really talking about how every time she goes to post something, every time she goes to speak something in a reel, every time she goes to do a podcast episode, she goes back and redoes the piece of content and tries to make it softer. She's not here to be soft. We're not all here to be soft, right? Some people are. Some people are here to be soft and gooey and lovable and all of those things. But some of us, we have to bring the fire. And your human design tells you what you're here to be. And you know it. When you hear your human design, when someone describes to you for the very first time your human design, feel it in your bones because you're like, oh my God, how do they know that about me? How do they know? And they know because your human design is the map that you came here with. Your human design is the blueprint of who you are before the world got its hands on you and batted you around and tried to make you conform. And as a fifth line profile, that's a big hairy deal. Second line profiles, we had a second line profile talking on the call today. And I'm a second line profile, so I get the struggle. As a second line profile, we are the naturals. And this person's question was, well, how do I talk about that in my content? How do I just talk about being a natural? Well, you don't. You talk about what comes naturally to you. You're here as a second line profile for the calls and that will change over time. As a second line profile, the magic is in what's alive for you right now. The thing is, as a second line profile, you don't know what you're good at. As second line profiles, we move through Life with a certain amount of ease around doing things that other people find hard. We can be good at a lot of different things, but it doesn't mean that we have to focus on every single thing just because somebody wants us to or because somebody tells us we're good at it. Our gift is in discerning which calls are right for us. So it's not so much being a second line profile. Talking about this is easy for me, please don't do that. No, it's just allowing life to move you along and show you the things or call you to the things that people want to hear from you. And as a second line profile, you're going to be deep. You're not going to be here for the surface level stuff. You're going to want to go deep and you're going to like feel this in your body as you move through life. I know we talked a little bit on the call as a second line profile. One of the things that I was often criticized for as a child, my family used to say, Vicki was never a child, she was only ever younger. I feel like second line profiles are the old souls of the world. Right. We just internalize so much and we observe so much and we take in things from everywhere and we're here for the depth, we're not here for surface level stuff. So in your content, you probably want to go a little deeper. You probably need to go a little deeper than maybe some others would go. So in Content by Design, we have modules for every little different piece of where your messaging is found in your human design. And I'm going to give you one plug for it because I don't want you to miss out on this. Okay. This is just a little peek into one tiny conversation that we had. We are having so many conversations. Inside of Content by Design, There are currently 23 women in, so it's still an intimate sized group. This is not the course where you are going to come in and you're going to get lost in hundreds of people. You are going to come in and you are going to get to know the other women in there and they're going to get to know you. And we are going to grow through our human design to build a marketing strategy that fits your business. And the reason I'm talking about this today is that at the time of this airing, this is Cyber Monday. I've got a last chance deal on where you can get Content by Design. For this year's pricing, the price is increasing significantly. In 2025, I will be launching it again in January. So you're going to hear a lot on this podcast about content. And if you want to get in at last year's pricing and get access to the bonuses right away, there are a ton of bonuses in there that you can go ahead and start on before we get started. Then you're not going to want to miss this. So the link is in the show notes for you. Head on over there and grab a seat if you want in on this round.…

Because it's going to help you. Because I bet you have a dirty little secret too. And today we're going to talk about it. Welcome to Unjaded. This is your straight talk shoot from the hip, wrapped in a little bit of love. Human Design for Business podcast. We talk a lot here about clarifying your message so that you can bring in paying clients with ease. And ease is different from easy. Stick around to find out how we roll here. I'm your host, Vicki Dixon. I am a 2, 4 emotional manifesting generator, light on the emotional. And I'm a quad right in human design. In real speak. I am an entrepreneur of 30 plus years. I've had every kind of business there is and I always say that business is my love language. I can't wait to dive in with you here on the podcast. So what's my dirty little secret, you ask? Well, I have this thing that I do that I have always done as I have moved through life and business that I didn't really realize was a rare thing until maybe the last year or so. I build multiple six figure businesses over and over and over again. There, I said it. I and I have a hard time owning that. I have a hard time talking about that because in our society we internalize messaging that if we speak about our accomplishments, we're bragging that we should stay small in our businesses, that we don't want to outshine someone else. All of these messages are so big in our conditioning and then we don't know how to talk about our accomplishments in a way that shows others that we have what it takes to lead them down the path. And you may be doing this too in your business. So Kate Northrup is someone who I love, love, love, love, love to follow. And she did something a little while ago, a series on her Instagram. And it was something about telling your story from the position of the heroine. And I loved it. I was like, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. Sure, there is a place for the dip in our story. Yes, absolutely. We have to let people know about the hard times that we've gone through and what we've learned in those hard times and how we've integrated our lessons and now how we're ready to share them and bring them along in the journey. That's all part of your business messaging for sure. But so many times we gloss over our successes because we don't want to outshine someone else. And I am here to invite you today to shine in your story. Tell your story. What would it look like if you told your story from the point of oh my gosh, I can't believe I did this instead of oh my God, I can't believe I did that? You know, there's just something. Success leaves clues and we need to see the clues in your life that have led you to be the success that you are, that lead you to be the answer to the things that we are coming to you to solve. So for me, I have this habit of building multi six figure businesses and I didn't know it was actually a thing. I didn't know that not everybody built six figure businesses when in fact only 6% of entrepreneurs ever reach six figures. And I have taken four businesses in a row to multi six figures. And do you know what I tell in my story? Do you know how I shy away from that success? I talk about the shame I feel about not sticking with it. I talk about being a manifesting generator and moving from thing to thing to thing and being so conditioned that if I could only stick to one thing, I could make it a success. Oh my God, what if you had stuck with that and you could have built a seven figure business? Well, I don't flipping care if I build a seven figure business or not. Sure it would be nice. But for me the magic is in the beginning. The magic is in getting something started, building something new. My whole design is about the intensity of bringing something new to the world. And yes, I intend to take my business to seven figures. But at this moment I am going to stand in my power and stand on my story that I know how to build a six figure business, not in just one industry. I have done this across four different industries. So the first six figure business was a retail, a bricks and mortar store. The second six figure business was a holistic health practice. It included yoga and reiki and nutrition counseling and all of those things. The third six figure business was a direct sales business. I went to the top of not one but two direct sales companies very, very quickly. In the first one I think it was, I'm pretty sure it was less than eight months before I had my first six figures in. And I remember, you know, my husband, I'm, I'm really motivated by people telling me I can't do something more than people loving on me and telling me I can do something. And I remember my husband said that's not. I said I was gonna make $10,000 a month and at the time we were facing bankruptcy. So that's part of the dip of a story, right? That I'll unpack in another episode with you for sure. So I've had dips and successes and what I'm asking you to do is to celebrate both because your story is all of it. It's not just the dips and it's not just the successes. So back to Pete. He said to me, that's not possible. I can't even imagine that that's possible with what you're doing now. And I'm like, oh yeah, watch me. You know the song Uptown Funk? That's my theme song. Don't believe me? Just watch. And I remember I was oil pulling the day that I got my first check. That was over $10,000. It was 8,800 and something US dollars. And I was oil pulling and he was doing something in the bedroom and I walked in and I just held the check up in front of his face and said, see through gritted teeth, I told you I could do it. So then the fourth six figure business was actually a partnership business. It was an online crystal business that we took within the first year to six figures plus. And now I'm doing it again in my fifth business, which is of course my human design and business coaching business. I have exceeded six figures there. So why am I telling you all this? I'm not telling you all of this to brag and I hope that you're not hearing it like that, but if you are, you are. I'm telling you that because it matters. You know, so many times I think that we are following people online and they don't have a sweet clue how to deliver the thing that they're selling because they've never done it before. The whole world is smoke and mirrors right now. And so we want to see the proof that someone has done it. We want to follow someone, not just who's been where we are, but who has been where we want to go. That is so important. I am very, very tired of people, especially in the online business space, people telling you that they're going to be able to take you to xyz. Six figures, seven figures, four day work weeks, whatever the case, million dollar homes, whatever the case may be, if they haven't done it themselves. There is value in your lived experience and there is value in your accomplishments. So today I'm going to invite you to start talking about the accomplishments that you have made in your life in a way that matters to your ideal client. And I'm also going to invite you to tell your story from the position of the heroine. Tell your story from. You know what? I am a big freaking deal. This is a big deal that I have accomplished this in my life and this is why I can help you rather than always staying in the muck of the dip of your story. Because your story has a dip and it has a mountaintop. So today, how can you bring someone onto the mountaintop with you and show them that you are the answer to their issues? If you want to get in the room with me and get my eyes on your business so that you can run a multiple six figure business then you really want to be in my world. This week I am running a week of Black Friday deals. It started yesterday on November 24. It is running through until Cyber Monday and I have a deal a day where you are going to be able to get my eyes in your business. I'm going to put the link in the show notes for you to grab your spot in my world so that you hear about the deals every single day. Let's build you a six figure business already. Let's make you. I was going to say let's make you part of the 6%. Let's bust that 6% and bring it to 10% of entrepreneurs in a very short a.m. who cross six figures.…

Life is gonna kick you around. Stay Unjaded ! ✌️ 💙 Vickie Episode Transcript Let's talk about Black Friday and how you can get your hands on some of the money that is floating around in North America, especially during the next couple of weeks. Okay, so Black Friday, of course, the best time to plan your Black Friday sale was at least a month ago, if not more. And the second best time to plan it is now. Black Friday is coming up in just a couple of weeks and there is a lot of money that changes hands. I should have looked up that statistic. It's billions of dollars that change hands on Black Friday. And I don't know about where you live, but where I live, Black Friday starts earlier and earlier and earlier every year. And I don't mean that it's gone from 5am to 1am I mean that it starts like November 1st. So you probably have already been hearing lots about different people's Black Friday offers. I hope you've been hearing about mine. If you follow me anywhere besides the podcast, then hopefully you have gotten on my early bird Black Friday list because I have been planning it for a long time. Mine is a big celebration. It is a whole week. I think I've got six different deals, a deal of the day for six days. And if you don't have that in you right now, that's okay. But it doesn't mean necessarily that you should sit it out. So if Black Friday is calling to you and you're a little bit scared, then I'm going to encourage you to do it anyway. Okay? If it's not there for you at all, if it's like, no, ick, that is not my thing, then don't do it, that's totally okay. But if the only reason you're not doing it is because you're thinking, oh, I don't know if I've got it in me to do all the work. I don't know if anybody's going to buy anything. What if this happens? What if that happens? What if the other thing happens? If that's why you're not doing Black Friday, then I'm going to kick your ass and tell you you gotta do Black Friday. Okay? Even if nobody buys your offer, you will have created a lot of awareness around said offer. You will have created a lot of awareness around your business. That's why I love all of these promotions, not just Black Friday, but anytime there is any kind of where the whole society is helping you to market, I think that you should take advantage of that because it also grows your skill as a marketer. And spoiler alert, if you have your own Business. If you are an entrepreneur, then you are also a marketer by default. You're going to have to be because nobody else is going to market your business for you. So let's take advantage of the kind of hoopla that's around Black Friday and get something going for you. So here we are today. What's today? November 18th. As you're listening to this, so you've got about 11 days to plan something. I'm going to give you some ideas and then you get to work and I'm going to put my speak pipe in the show notes for you and I want to hear from you that you've started on this. You can actually send me a voice message and say, hey, I'm doing this thing for Black Friday. I want to hear from you. So start now in your stories. Get in your social media stories and start to pull people. Ask them what they want. Would you rather this or that? If you could have this for your child, would you go for it? What would make this a no brainer for you? Would you rather $50 off or a bonus? I don't know. Like it depends on your niche. But just start asking questions in your story. Start doing polls and asking questions and showing behind the scenes stuff. Show people that you're working on a Black Friday deal. Bring them with you on the journey. That's what your stories are for. Your stories make you human to your followers. Your stories let people see that there's actually a person behind the personal brand. Do you see how that works? And then look at the offers that you have that you've already created. Maybe you've got some recordings that you could turn into a masterclass with very little or no editing and sell them. Even if you're selling for 27 or 97, it doesn't matter. Maybe you've got different bits and pieces of things that you could put together and make a bundle out of them. Maybe you are just starting out and you know what? You have time to be in the room with people. Well, get in the room with people. Give them a reason to get in the room with you. You are going to get so good at your craft when you are actually face to face with people. So let's say that you offer coaching of some sort. Maybe you could do a bogo. Buy one, get one. Maybe somebody could buy three hours of coaching and they could get three hours free. Maybe you could do Voxer coaching. That's one of my offers. I love Voxer coaching. You can coach on Voxer, which is like a walkie talkie style app all day long or for two hours or four hours or whatever it is that you want. If you do any kind of readings, you could do some sort of a reading at a discount price. You could do a pre recorded reading. If you don't want to be in the room with people, you could say, you know what, just send me the info that I need and I will send you my insights in a little MP3 or MP4 that you can listen back to. What else could you do? Maybe you have some ebooks. You know, you could even run a series of deals on different ebooks that you've created and they're already created, so you can even blow them out, right? Say they Normally sell for 27, you can do them for $7 or you can do the bundle for 27. People are looking for really pretty deep discounts on Black Friday. It doesn't mean that everything has to be discounted. The last thing that I want you to discount deeply his time in the room with you. Unless you're just starting out. If you're just starting out and you need the practice and you need to develop your coaching muscles and you need to develop your customer service muscles and your sales muscles and all of those muscles that you're going to need in your business, then consider something where it's time in the room with you that's at, you know, one of those bogo deals or something like that. Whatever feels right for you. Obviously I'm not the boss of you, but if you're a seasoned coach, a seasoned entrepreneur, you've been doing this for a while and you're already at capacity, then the last thing that you're going to do is give a sale on time in the room with you. Or if you do want to do it. What I have done is I have limited the amount of spaces that I have available. And that's something that's really important as well. There's all kinds of ways we can create scarcity, right? Scarcity isn't just about a sale price. Scarcity can be that there's a limited time offer, that there are limited spaces available, that it is at a discount, that it's going away. There could be an offer in your business that you're actually. This is something that I meant to do with my health program. I have a health program that used to sell for $1,800 and I always mean to bring it back and blow it out for like 497 or something like that. So you might have something like that as well, you may have pivoted in your business, and you may have old courses and things that you could completely blow out at a killer sale price. They're sitting there, they're not making you any money the way that they are. Right? And they can help somebody. That's what we have to remember, right? They can help somebody. Okay, my favorite thing, I'm just going to unpack this with you really quickly before we close out this episode. My favorite thing to do is to sell something before I've created it. And you can do that, too in your business. So if you have been dreaming of running some sort of a program or a course, the last thing that I want you to do is toil away for months and months and months. This is November. You'll be thinking, okay, by the time I have it all created, it's going to be February, maybe the end of January. I can get it done, and then I can start to sell it. And it's going to be April before you're bringing money in. What if we flip that on its head? What if instead of creating it first, you sold it on Black Friday, you did a presale and you bring people into a beta and you have them create it on the ground with you. You sell it at a cheaper price than you will your fully created thing, but you get to respond to the needs of the group, which is really, really important because you may be thinking of creating this course or program and you could completely miss the mark Now, I hope you don't, but most of us do at least once miss the mark completely, and then we've spent all of this time creating something that sits on a shelf and doesn't sell. So I would much rather you do a pre sale on it now. Do a beta launch on it now. Black Friday is perfect for that. Sell a few seats. Doesn't matter if you sell three seats or 10 seats or one seat, you're going to go through it. And then by the end of this period of time, whatever it is that you decide that this course or program is going to be, you have something created that you can then offer over and over and over and over again in your business. That is gold, my friend. So this episode is just meant to be kind of a little boot for you to say, okay, get going, get going. There's a lot of money changing hands on Black Friday, and some of it might as well be yours. Remember to send me a message in my speak pipe and let me know what you're doing or let me know that you're doing something, for the love of God, do something in your business, please, for Black Friday. And I'll also put the link there for my early bird list. So when you're on the early bird list and you make a purchase over the week of Black Friday, I've got six different deals for you. You get something extra. I don't know what that is yet because I'm going to create it as I go along. I am practicing what I preach here and you get to know about the deal of the day at 12:01am and it gets released to the public at 5am so you have got five hours to buy it because many of my offers are limited time because they are time in the room with me. So there you have it. Let's do this Black Friday up right and have fun with it. Have some fun promoting your business and making people aware of all the goodness that you offer.…

If it typically takes you about a half an hour to explain to someone what you do, and even after that they still don't really get it, then you are going to love this episode. So I have just finished a business strategy session with a client and I love these sessions because they allow me to be full on in response as a quad right in human design, it is magical for the person that I'm serving when they ask the right questions and that the knowledge just gets pulled out of me in a way that I could never plan for. So these sessions tend to be really powerful and really intuitive. I am intuitively responding in the moment, moment to moment to moment. And we just did 90 minutes of that. So this person that I was serving is a healer. She has many, many modalities, but she has this one way of doing things that's really different than anything that I have ever heard of. And I've been in the healing space for probably close to 30 years. As we started our session, I asked her the basic questions. What does she do? Who does she do it for? How does she do it? What's the end result of working with her? And we just gradually, over the course of about 35 minutes, flushed out the answers to all of those questions. And that's the work that we each need to do in our businesses. We need to get down to the bones of what it is that we do, who do we do it for, how do we do it, and then what is the end result for people? Here's what I see. In the coaching industry and in the human design industry, in the spiritual industry, whatever you want to call it, there is a lot of spiritual gobbledygook. There is a lot of empowerment, transformation, self love, self discovery, all of these phrases that really don't mean anything to the reader or to the person who would hire us if only they could get a grasp of what it is that we do. So that is the work that we get to do with this particular client. After we had been through about 35 minutes, I looked at her, I had five pages of notes and I looked at her and I said, okay, now we get to do the real work that you came here for in your business. Now we get to look at your website and your offers and your lead magnet and all of those things. But it would have done no good for us to do that before we actually understood what we were working with, the nuts and bolts of what we're working with. So the first thing that we did after we had all of this information flushed out was that we really zhuzhed up her offer. And this is where I want you to start in your business as well. Lots of times we're going about it backwards where we think, oh, this would be a great lead magnet. And we create some lead magnet and we slap it on our websites and it really doesn't match what it is that we do or it doesn't lead the person to want to work with us further. And that's the goal of your lead magnet. Your lead magnet should be the first step for people. The other thing that sometimes we can do is that we can fire hose people with information. In our lead magnets. We think that the more information that they have, the better or the more valuable it is. But that actually doesn't serve them or us because they're so confused or they're so overwhelmed that they never take the next step with us. It just becomes a PDF in a file somewhere in their computer. So she was using a lead magnet that didn't move her people closer to working with her. So by starting with her signature offer, what did she most want to offer in her business? What was the work that her soul just lives for? We started with that and then we backtracked to find the perfect lead magnet that would lead to that. Now when she started to think about this perfect lead magnet, she came up with, I think, like four points of things that she would do. And I'm like, okay, so we're going to back that up even more. We're going to give them one point. We're going to give them this one piece of it as a lead magnet because that's enough for them to see a result. And that's what you want with your lead magnet. You want someone to be able to get a quick win by downloading your lead magnet, by going through the work that's in your lead magnet. It shouldn't be something that they think, oh, my God, I need three months of my life to do this. No, it should be something that they can say, okay, in the next three days, I'll be able to get a handle on this. I'll be able to do this every day this week. That's no problem. That's what you want them thinking with your lead magnet. And we kind of think, you know, you might be hearing that and think, but that's too simple. That's too easy. That's not. Because we, we have this, we've fallen into this trap of thinking that complicated is better, that complicated makes us feel seem Smarter to our clients. That complicated makes people think that we know more, but it doesn't. Complicated paralyzes people. People will pay you to be able to simplify things for them. They are already overwhelmed. So that's where we started with the lead magnet was this one thing. And then we chose to create an email sequence where we sold the other three things that she was thinking of. She could package those other three things and that could become something that she sold at a low price within her welcome sequence. So there's another important point for you. It's very, very, very important to make something available for sale in your welcome sequence even if nobody buys it. But they will. But even if nobody buys it, it's a really good way to establish yourself as an authority and to establish yourself as someone who is actually in business to make money. Because if you start out and ask me how I know this, right, if you start out just pouring value on people and pouring value on people and pouring value on people and you never ask for an energetic exchange, you never ask for a sale, then they don't understand that this is how you make your living. So offer something for sale in your welcome sequence. So for her, we took that one piece and made it the lead magnet and then we took the other three pieces and made them the thing that was going to be for sale. Now, another tip that's going to serve you in your welcome sequence or in any time you do any kind of an offer is to put a limited time discount on it. So this is something else that she's going to do while the people are in her email sequence. You'll see this. If you go through my welcome sequence, there is a limited time offer and that is because people are motivated by deadlines. We will procrastinate until the bitter end if we can. If there's no discount on anything, we will think, oh, I'll come back next week, I'll come back next pay, I'll come back when I have more time to digest it, I'll come back whenever. Whereas if there is a certain amount of time, five days, 10 days, whatever, where they can have this discount, then that's going to motivate people to buy and then they get to consume that information or go through that process with her and it makes her sticky to them. They want to be in her world because she's helping them. She's actually walking them through the steps in a really, really simple way. So she went just the first step of this 90 minute session. Mind you, this wasn't the Whole thing. But she went from offering a lead magnet that made no sense, that didn't lead people into her world, to having a really good strategy for a lead magnet and a first for sale thing in her welcome sequence. So we knew what her signature offer was, what the offer is. That is the end goal for her. That this is the thing that I need to sell to keep me in business and that I want to sell because it really uses my energy well. And we had the lead magnet and the little offer and then she had all of these other things on her website. You know how you go to a website and maybe you're guilty of this as well? You go to a website and you go to the work with me page and there's like six or seven offers. Well, people can't decide. They don't know what your offers mean. And lots of times when we have lots of different offers on our websites, we know what, what happens inside of each offer and we know who each offer is for. But we don't often communicate that clearly on our websites. So people go there and they see all of these choices and they choose nothing because it's just too complicated. Now remember, if people are landing on your website, there's a problem that you solve and they are probably already overwhelmed with that problem, so they can't really process all of the different options. Or they get there and they read every little fine line about everything and then they just are like, oh my God, it's information overload. So what we really needed to do was figure out, okay, so we've got the lead magnet, we've got the little offer, we've got the signature offer. What's the in between step? Is there something that can kind of fill in this gap between a $47 offer and a 5,000 offer so that there's something that people maybe they want to try you out, maybe they want to be in the room with you for a one off session. Maybe they need to feel into your energy before they commit to working for six months or a year with you. So that's what we created next. And we really, as we went along, created the languaging that matches it. That's so important that you want to speak about the benefits. What is the benefit of working with you? What is the end result? Your offer is the bridge that takes people from point A, where they are now, to point B, where they want to be. Your offer should be the bridge in the middle. But you can't speak of your offer as if it's the answer. The Answer is all of the things that you're going to do together and all of the benefits on the other side. Think of what's happening in your ideal client's life right now, today that your offer is the answer to. If you were walking around behind her all day, what are the things that would be happening in her life that would tell you that she needs your offer? How would she identify with the work that you do and then what's on the other side of that? One of the other things that this particular entrepreneur was looking at was she does things in a really different way. And you probably do too. You have a different way that you handle things. So you need to call that out. We got the offers all flushed out. We touched in with her sacral. She's a generator type. So we checked in with her sacral. For how long does this offer take? How many sessions is it? What kind of support is in between? Is it one on one, Is it group, all of those things? And then we fine tuned the messages. What problem is that person having now? How does it present in her everyday life? What's different after she does this work with you? We were crossing off the coach speak and the spiritual speak left, right and center on the website. When I had first gone to her website because she sent it to me before we booked this session, I looked at it and it was like a wall of text. There was so much text on this website. So if your website has so much text that it makes my eyes go buggy, I want you to look at that. The other thing that I want you to kind of notice on your site is if you're using a lot of stock photos or if you're using a lot of tiny photos. I feel like in this space, women try to disappear instead of trying to own their value in business. So I go to a website and I see a little, teeny, teeny postage stamp size picture of you and then all of this text. And here's the thing, you're a personal brand. Personal. You're the person behind the brand. This person that I worked with, she's a 2, 4. She is the entire brand. You are the entire brand as well. But when you're in the personal branding space, when you have a personal brand, you have to let people get to know you. You have to let people see you, you have to let people feel into your energy. One of the first things that we did was talk about her putting a video you land on her website, on the homepage. I want to see a video there above the fold is where you want to have one call to action. So you don't want someone to come to your website and there's all of this text, this wall of text on the homepage and their eyes don't know where to go. I wish you could see my hands moving now. But their eyes don't know where to go. They're trying to find their way and they're going to end up clicking off. If there's a video there where you're explaining exactly what you do, who you do it for, how you do it differently than anyone else, and the end result that they can have. And then an arrow or you pointing. Download your lead magnet right here. You're not going to call it lead magnet, obviously you're going to have a really super sexy name. But download this thing here, tell them the action you want them to take and then let that be it. So then the next thing that I invited her to do was to build some authority. If there's a podcast she's guested on, if there's anywhere that she's written a guest article on a blog, if any expert has said anything good about her, that's where you want to build authority. Testimonials. And then in further down in the about me section, you want to talk about yourself in a way that matters to the reader. Why does what you do matter to the person who's reading your website matter to your ideal client? And then further down, we just created three boxes for her offers, but we didn't talk about the offers themselves. We talked about the benefits of the offers in really super juicy languaging. And then each of these offers opens to a sales page where we worked on juicy languaging that focused on, you guessed it, the benefits of these offers. We talked about the pain points. Why does someone need this particular offer? Who does this particular offer serve? And what's on the other side of it. And then we deleted the whole services page. That page that I talked about where it was, work with me. And there are six or seven offers and they're all in great detail, gone from the website. So on this particular website we probably are now using about one third of the words that were on it before. And we've got, I mean, this isn't finished yet. In a 90 minute session, I'm just kind of fire hosing the information of what needs to be done. And then you take it and do what you want, what you do with it. But we went down to about one third of the words. And then we have More of her on the site. So even there were some stock photos and they were hands holding a rock. So I said, have someone take a picture of your hands. You want you in your website. That's really, really important. And then the about me page, we rewrote it in a way that tells what she does, how she does it, different than anyone else. And this is really important. How do you do what you do differently than anyone else? What is the common enemy that you have? What do you stand against in your work and why that matters? Highlight mistakes that people innocently make. Hey, I know that you've bought 600 courses, all in the effort of clarifying your message, and none of it has worked because none of it looks at your human design and what you're exactly designed to say and who you're designed to say it to and how you need to say it. So you have to speak to those things that people are doing that they think are going to move them forward, but actually are not. And then what's on the other side of working with you? And that's the about page. The about page is not, I'm a Reiki master. I'm a yoga teacher. I'm a certified human design specialist. I'm a holistic health coach. I'm this, I'm that. That's not what the about page is. The about page is how do you move your person forward? And then she had a question about her credentials, because she has a lot of credentials, and a lot of people have told her to put them on the homepage of her website and put them on the about page and all that. But she's like, I don't really want to do those things anymore. And that's the thing for a second line. So as a second line, you're the natural as you move through your life and your business. And the magic is always going to be in what's alive for you right now. So you get to lean into what's alive for you...…

Life is gonna kick you around. Stay Unjaded ! ✌️ 💙 Vickie Episode Transcript Welcome to Unjaded! I am so glad to be chatting with you here today. I've got something super exciting to be talking with you about. It is actually a listener question that I'm answering. And this question is all about an emotional authority in human design. How long do I have to wait to make decisions? This is a great question. And I gotta tell you, this is something that I have been really boots on the ground, learning and leaning into in my own human design for at least the last three years. And yes, it has taken me that long. And I continue to learn lessons around this decision making with an emotional authority. So here's the thing. If you don't have your human design chart, you can pause this episode and you can go to my website, it's www.vickiedickson.com to run your human design chart there for free. You're going to want to know if you are emotionally defined or not. And you're probably the opposite of what you think you are. I know that my experience within my human design was that I am an emotional authority. And I always say I'm light on the emotional. Why is that? Well, for two reasons. One, I'm Gen X and every generation has its challenges. Every generation hopefully does a little better than the generation before. Jury's still out on that one right now. But Gen X, as a rule, we didn't have a lot of space for our emotions, right? We were the latchkey kids. We were the ones who were, you know, if you want something to cry about, if you want to cry, I'll give you something to cry about. You know, all of, all of the things. There just wasn't room for emotional health back then. And that's okay because that's how we came in and that's why we came in and that's what we get to work with in this lifetime. So that's one of the reasons that I'm not super, super connected to my emotional system. It means that I get to work through that, right? It means that I get to give myself the gift of understanding and starting to play in that. The other reason for me that I say light on emotional is that my emotional system and my root center in my human design, I'm a split definition. So if you're new to human design, that means that the energy in my design works in two separate ways. So I have my root and my emotional system kind of off on its own doing the rest of the thing and then all of the rest of my definition or who I'm here to be is in another place, connected to each other. So I have two different energy systems at work, and my emotional system is subconscious. So I have an emotional wave that I'm not aware of, which is a trip. It is taking me, you know, a long time to really allow myself to be connected to this emotional decision making in my design. And you may have the same experience no matter what generation you're from, but especially if you're Gen X or older, it's just not a thing that we had space for our emotions. Right. And especially if you also have a subconscious piece of your emotional design. So how to tell if you're emotionally defined? Let's go back to the basics for a second. If your large triangle on the bottom right hand side of your chart is colored in, that means you're emotionally defined. So you are automatically and emotional authority. And what that means, why this listener is asking about decision making is that there's no truth in the now. As emotional authorities, it takes us a long time to get clear on things, so we shouldn't really make decisions in the moment, no matter what else is defined in our charts. So for me, I have my spleen, the triangle on the opposite side colored in. And then I have my sacral, the red circle near the bottom, colored in. And then my emotional authority. So I have three authorities kind of operating at once. But the emotional authority is always going to win because it's the slowest. So you may have more than one authority in your design as well, but the emotional is always going to win. So my spleen speaks lightning fast. It's the intuition, it's the intuitive drive to stay safe in the moment. It's the intuitive drive to survive. Basically our oldest awareness, and it's so fast, it's lightning fast. And I have that in my body. And then I have my sacral. And my sacral is like, because it's like a motor and I can ask my sacral yes or no questions and it will answer and it will be all hyped up and ready to go. And then I have to wait and wait and wait for my emotional system to catch up. Sorry, Alvin. Sorry. So how long do I have to wait with an emotional authority? Well, that is the million dollar question, my friend. Every decision is going to be different. And I would like to bust a myth in the human design space that says that you are going to have to wait out a wave for your decision. You know, I, the, the training that I went through for human design, taught by someone who's open emotionally taught that if ever in your wave it's a no, the whole thing has to be a no. Now, my lived experience tells me that's absolutely not true. Because if I lived by that advice, I would never do anything. Because there's always going to be a no at some point in my way. Right when I'm low, I don't want to do anything. Everything's a no when I'm low. When I'm high, everything's a yes. So for me, it's really about just allowing myself to feel the feels. I think this is the work for us as emotional authorities. We have to allow ourselves to get present with our emotions and not just in a way that says, well, I'm low today, so everybody has to deal with it, or I'm low today, so I have to expect that, or I have to accept that about myself. I mean, in a way that allows you to really go in and say, I'm going to allow myself to feel whatever comes up right now. I'm going to be with this and feel whatever is here for me. And that is not always comfortable. Right now, my husband and I, we get into this space. We've been married for 32 years, and we get into this space. He's open emotionally, and I'm defined. We get into this space sometimes where I kind of put this cocoon around me, this protective cocoon around me, and I don't even necessarily know why I'm doing it or what it's about. And that's my work. I get to go in and explore that. And he's over here being open emotionally, amplifying my emotions, because that's what will happen if you're open emotionally or undefined emotionally. If your center is white, you will amplify things back into the field. He feels it bigger than I do. He feels my emotions before I feel my emotions. When we are in auric space, and what that means is that we, when we are within like a couple of arm's lengths of each other, he is going to feel my emotions. I am going to set the tone for the house. It's just the two of us here. I'm going to set the tone for the house. Sorry, Alvin. There's something that I was going to say about that. It will come back. It will come back. It will come back. It will come back. So right now, just this morning, I had to say to him, because there's a little bit of angst in our home, and I know it's me. I know it's not him. I. I understand now that it's me. Whereas before human design, I wouldn't have known that it was me. And I just looked at him and I said, I don't know. I don't know what's happening right now. And I hugged him and he's like, you don't know? What do you mean you don't know? Because for him, that's like so weird, right? Because he would just. Would always know what he's feeling. And I'm like, yeah, I. I don't know what it is. I don't know. But I'm just giving myself the time to be with it. He's like, okay. And as long as he knows, then it's okay, right? But it's when we don't give ourselves the space and we try to, like, push through it and make ourselves appear happy. I'm putting that in air quotes. Making ourselves appear happy or, you know, sinking into it or something like that, where there's a lot more angst around, it takes a lot more time to go through it. So what does this have to do with decision making? So as an emotional authority, you're going to take time making your decisions because you have this ebb and flow in emotions. And I'm going to walk you through my most recent significant purchase so that you can see that this may take longer than a wave because depending on what channels and gates. So the lines in between or the circles that are colored in, in numbers in your. In your emotional solar plexus, depending on what's defined there for you, you may have a wave that just kind of, you know, you kind of are on an even keel all the time. And once in a while you have this big blowout and then you're good. You might have a wave that kind of ratchets up, up. Your needs aren't being met and then all of a sudden you explode and it's rage. Or you may have one like mine that's based on expectations and you really have to. Or you really get to explore not being attached to the outcome of things because your expectations are always so high and then they crash down. So you can have different types of waves going on. So to be able to say to somebody, we'll just wait out your wave. And we're not always aware of our waves, right? Because we're comfortable with our emotions. So decisions. Recently I made the decision to purchase a new iPhone. I have had my iPhone since 2019, so it's pretty old in the phone world. And I use it Every single day for my work. And the camera's acting up and the sound is acting up, and it's just become a big deal. It has probably taken me six or seven months to decide which phone I want and when I'm going to buy it. And that's not an exaggeration. So I will go to the Apple website, I will go to Best Buy, I will go to wherever. And I thought I had decided finally that I was going to get a 15 Pro Max. And I mean, I go between the Pro, the Pro Max and the regular. Like, it's ridiculous. All of the stuff that it takes for me to make this decision. I finally decided the 15 Pro Max was what I was going to do. And then my friend messages me and says, don't buy your phone yet. There's a 16 coming out. And the audio quality and the video quality on it. You'll be able to do podcasts on it and everything. And I'm like, oh, Jesus, now we have to wait again. And I did have to wait again. I probably had to wait another four or five weeks to process that through my emotional system again. I opened up the tabs on my laptop and I looked at the phones again and I looked at the plans again and I went through all of the things again. And it was just this, what. What I could feel like is a painful process if I didn't now understand that this is just how I am meant to work, as an emotional authority. And if you are emotionally defined, you gotta give yourself a pass for taking a long time with your decisions. You have to give yourself some grace around the fact that when you make quick decisions, they're probably not the best decisions for you. Instead, when you can feel really super spacious in your decision, it's just you're unattached to it anymore. And then you make better decisions. So for me, how did I know it was the right moment to buy a phone after six or seven months? How did I know? After all of this research and all of this pros and cons and this plan or that plan and all of the things, how did I finally know? I knew because I was no longer attached. And that's something in spiritual spaces that we kind of throw around. Like it's. I don't know what. And we maybe don't understand really what it means or what it would feel like in our body. So I'm going to explain what it feels like for me. What it feels like for me is like a calm in between the storm or in the middle of the Storm. So before I make my decision, if it's a big decision, before I make my decision, I have all this noise around it. I have all of this like clutter and it's, it's hard for me to get a hold of the thought and I'm processing, processing, processing, processing. And then there comes a moment. And this is not a long period of time. This is like a few moments sometimes where it's just like, ah, everything is quiet. And I know whether it's a yes or a no, and I can't explain to you how that feels other than what I've just said. You are going to feel it differently in your body than I feel it in mine. For me, it's quiet. For you, it could be a voice, it could be something you see, it could be confirmation from the outside there's something that you are going to know. That's my decision. That's my decision. And I just know it because I feel it in my body. So this is something that I think as emotional authorities, we are exploring over a long period of time throughout our lives. I mean, our creativity is tied up in our emotional solar plexus. Our decision making is tied up in our emotional solar plexus. Emotional eating lives in the emotional solar plexus. Shopping addictions, all kinds of things live in the emotional solar plexus. And we get to do the work of actually allowing ourselves space in our lives to not have clarity. We get to let it be okay, to not be clear 100% of the time. In a world that values clarity and quick decision making, it can be really uncomfortable to say, can you give me a few days to decide on that? Can you give me a little bit of time for that? Right now I've got two proposals in my inbox. They've been there probably for. I've got three proposals in my inbox actually. One of them has been there for two months and a couple of them have been there for three or four weeks. And I have just let people know it's percolating and what their knee jerk reaction is because they're not human design practitioners. Their knee jerk reaction is to fix this for me, to help me make my decision. They want to get on a call with me and I'm like, it's not that I just need to sit with it, I just need to give myself space around it. And I will know when I know and I won't know before I know. And that's the way it is with your emotional authority too. So I hope that I have answered that question, but I kind of haven't, have I? How long do you have to wait? With an emotional authority, the answer is always that depends. You get to decide. It's going to depend on the size of the decision that you're making, the amount of money you're spending. It's you just have to or you just get to. Your opportunity is to process it, understand and get really in tune with how you're feeling about it. And it does get easier over time to allow yourself the space, but it doesn't necessarily get faster over time. It's just that you understand the process better and you're able to work with it a lot easier. If you have a follow up question for that, I'm going to put my Speak pipe in the show notes for you. And that is an app where you can just click the button and send me a voice memo and ask me your question and you may even hear yourself on a future episode of Unjaded. Thanks for being here.…

So if you don't have that yet, I'd love to invite you to pause this episode and head on over to the website. It's vickiedickson.com. It's linked in the show notes for you so that you can download your Human design chart. We are going to be focusing on the bottom center in the Human design chart, so you're going to want to know what that looks like for you as we go through this show. Welcome to Unjaded. This is your straight talk shoot from the hip, wrapped in a little bit of love. Human Design for Business podcast we talk a lot here about clarifying your message so that you can bring in paying clients with ease. And ease is different from easy. Stick around to find out how we roll here. I'm your host Vickie Dickson. I am a two four emotional manifesting generator, light on the motional and I'm a quadrite in human design in realspeak. I am an entrepreneur of 30 plus years. I've had every kind of business there is, and I always say that business is my love language. I can't wait to dive in with you here on the podcast. Okay, so in human design, there are two pressure centers. One is the head center and one is the root center. If you're familiar with the chakra system, when you look at your human design chart, these centers will be in exactly the places you'd expect them to be. So your head center is the triangle at the very top and your root center is the square at the very bottom. The head center is the center for inspiration and information. The root center is the center for pressure, stress, adrenaline. If both of these centers are undefined or white, not colored in, then your design is highly pressurized. Anxiousness and overwhelm may be regular occurrences for you. So it doesn't have to be that way though. In this episode, we're going to unpack the root center, adrenaline, stress and pressure, and how to use it to get done what you need to get done. So remember, if you don't yet have your chart, head on over to the website and grab it. So let's look at your own human design chart. If the square on the bottom is colored in, then you have what we call a defined root. What this means is that you have consistent way of dealing with stress and pressure. Deadlines probably energize you. When others around you are overwhelmed and acting scattered about a goal. You're like, WTF? We recently had a big goal with one of the companies that I contract into, and there was a significant bonus on the line. We really pushed the last week of the month, and when we hit it, all of the undefined roots. So that's you. If it's not colored in, in your design, we're saying, oh, my God, never do that again. We don't want to do that again. And those of us with a defined root colored in square at the bottom of our chart, we were ready to start all over again right away. And remember that nothing in human design is good or bad. It just is. No one is better than the other with a defined root because it's a pressure center. The energy operates in kind of a pulse. Some days the pressure is there, and some days it's nothing. Now, this isn't science. But in my own experiment and in working with hundreds of clients, what I found is that most times, the root pulse, the emotional wave, and the menstrual cycle work together, which is probably a topic for another day. But it's just kind of interesting to see how when you're off, you're really off, and when you're on, you're really, really on. So just this week, I felt like I was walking through quicksand for a few days in my business. I couldn't get anything done, which kind of leads you to feel panicky, right? Like, it can feel like, oh, my gosh, like, I've got this big to do list and, like, nothing is working. You know, you sit down to create a blog post or to write a podcast episode or to prepare for a reading or whatever it is, and it just feels like you're walking through quicksand. So I kept trying to get into it. I kept trying to work, and then seeing how pointless it was. And having been in this exact same place a hundred times before, I knew that I needed to let the work slide, because even if I did the work, I would go back and redo it later. So what this was, what we say in human design speak, is that my root pulse was off the energy, and the pressure wasn't there for my work, and I had to let that be okay. So instead of working as an MG and manifesting generator, I'm someone who needs to keep busy. I'm someone who needs to be moving. We had just opened the cottage, and there's so much to get done. So what I did was I kind of switched gears, and I went into home gear, and I dove full on in on that stuff, which left me feeling satisfied it gave me a feeling of satisfaction, and it allowed me to fall into bed completely exhausted and sleep well. Because the next day, I'm getting another load of sacral energy on board. Right? I spent time with my grandkids. I had fun. I took my dog in the lake, I went for extra walks. And now, today, as I'm writing this, my root pulse is back on. In the span of about 3 hours, I've been able to create a landing page, a webinar series, four podcast episodes, and a mini training on Instagram in just 3 hours. So that's worth waiting for. But it's not natural. It doesn't feel great when your root pulse is off and you feel that energy of that. Like, it's like you're locked in place somehow. I'm speaking with my hands, and I always forget that you can't see me when you're on a podcast, but it's like I'm locked in place and I have no movement, no stamina, no drive in me to get something done in my business specifically. And we are so very conditioned to keep pushing through. But. But if you have this kind of configuration in your design, I'm going to challenge you to trust the universe. When your energy is off. And I don't mean like energetically off. I mean when the switch is off in your body, I want to invite you to trust the universe that it will come back on. Do something fun so that when it does come back on, you can go right into beast mode again. A couple of other things about this pressure center in your human design. This root center specifically, is that it's what we call a motor in human design. So motors give energy. So this defined root center adds energy or energizes your design no matter what else is there. With this energy defined in your design, you need to exercise daily. Sorry, not sorry, you need to sweat every single day. And I get asked over and over and over again what exercise is the best exercise for me, Vicki? The one that you will do. Don't set yourself up for failure, but do set yourself up to get some exercise done every day, because you need somewhere for this pressure, this adrenaline, this drive, this ambition, this motor revving. You need somewhere for that energy to go. So don't give me all the excuses about the things that you cannot do. I would love for you to do something, some way of moving your body. And then I'm going to unpack another little piece of this. It's just going to be a little bonus. Okay? So if you look to the left on your design, and there's a triangle on the bottom left. If that also is colored in for you, and you have some lines that are red and black between that root center and that's the spleen center on the left, then you really, really, really need to exercise daily. Okay. You gotta sweat it out. Your body, that is one place in the body graft, and there may be others where exercise lives. And again, I'm gonna go right back to I don't care what else is in your design. I don't care if you're a projector, I don't care if you're a quad, right? I don't care if you're. I care. I shouldn't say I don't care, but I'm not gonna be part of this movement that says, oh, you don't need to exercise then, because you're a projector, you don't need to exercise, or you're a reflector. We all need movement in our day some way, and somehow. Okay, sermon over. I'll get down off my soapbox. So we're going to switch over to the undefined root. So if that bottom square for you is not colored in, you're exactly the opposite of everything that I just said. The energy will be there sometimes for exercise, and sometimes it won't be, and that's okay. So by understanding your body, you get to play in the type of exercise that you do every day. So it might be HIIT training today, tomorrow, maybe yoga the next day, it might be going for a walk, the next day, it might be, you know, laying in Shavasana. You still need exercise. We all need exercise. But it doesn't have to be so driven for you. It doesn't have to be where you have to be sweating, so where the defined root pulses on and off. You have this thing that I think would maybe be a little bit harder to deal with. But again, it's not my lived experience. So I don't know. You can tell me, connect with me, and let me know. But your root pressure is always there. There's no freedom from that list of things you need to get done. So that's where the overwhelm can come in. Remember in the beginning of the episode, I said, lots of times people with this energy in their design will feel overwhelmed. So you, in your head, it's like, when I get that done, I can rest. When I get that done, I can rest. When I get that done, I can rest. But you're never done. So you never let yourself rest. You just keep going and going and going and going, burning through energy that's not consistently there for you, right? You're amplifying the energy of others in that place. So speaking of amplification, what will happen for you is that you'll amplify the stress of the people with defined roots around you. So when someone with a defined root is in your energy field and they're loving pushing for a deadline, or they're stressed about getting something done, you're going to be the one who experiences the overwhelm in your body because you're not used to that feeling in your body of that defined root. So your mantra is, not mine, not mine, not mine. Or things get done when they get done. Things get done when they get done. Things get done when they get done. So no matter how you're defined or undefined, you have to work, or you get to work with the energy that you do have. If you want my eyes on your design, that was just one little piece of design. And I mean, look at, there are hundreds of pieces of every single design. If you want my eyes on your design and your life or your business, you can go ahead and book your reading. I put a link in the show notes for you so that you can get on my calendar and we'll spend about 90 minutes together going over all of the intricacies of you, going over things like how is your energy meant to work to get that list of things done that you need to do, how is your creativity meant to flow? What environment do you need to be in to spark your creativity? How do you best show up in relationships? How does your messaging land the best with your people? All of these things live within your human design. And I would love to get to know you through the lens of your highest self, which is shown to us in your human design.…

I just realized that I have been batch recording podcast episodes all afternoon and I have not worn my headphones for any of them. So I sure hope that my amazing editor, Alvin is able to fix this up for us because otherwise it will be driving you crazy, especially if you have one of the acoustic gates in your human design. So on this episode of Unjaded, we are going to be answering. I am going to be answering a listener question. And that listener question is, what does responding actually look like in real life? I know that as a generator or a manifesting generator, I am here to live in response, but I don't have the first clue what that actually means in my life. I love this question and I get it all the time from generator types. So stay tuned if you would like to know how to use your strategy of response in your actual life. Welcome to unjaded. This is your straight talk shoot from the hip, wrapped in a little bit of love. Human design for business podcast we talk a lot here about clicking clarifying your message so that you can bring in paying clients with ease and ease is different from easy. Stick around to find out how we roll here. I'm your host, Vickie Dickson. I am a two four emotional manifesting generator, light on the emotional, and I'm a quad right human design. In realspeak. I am an entrepreneur of 30 plus years. I've had every kind of business there is, and I always say that business is my love language. I can't wait to dive in with you here on the podcast. So first, if you have no idea what I am talking about with these funny words like manifesting generator and response and strategy, then I invite you to go to my website. It's vickiedickson.com . It's linked in the show notes. Just pause this episode and head on over there to run your human design chart. So, human design is a snapshot of two moments in time. It's the moment of your birth and the moment your soul entered your body about 88 days before birth. It's a mix of different systems, like the I ching, the chakra system, the kabbalah, and astrology, and it gives you a snapshot of who you're here to be. I'm telling you, human design, it is incredible how bang on it is every single time. I was just talking to my chiropractor today, and he didn't know what it was either. And I said, you know, even when I have. I'm sorry, guys, if you're listening. But even when I have husbands come to me and they, you know, their wives bought them a reading or whatever or making them do this, and they don't really believe in it every single time, they're like, oh my God, how did you know that? And your human design holds your highest potential, your greatest gifts, all of the ways that you've been told that you're wrong and how to actually come out and stand in your power again so that you can have the impact that you're here to have. So each of the human design types, there are four or five human design types, depending on who you ask. Manifesting generators are a subtype of generators. So they are a generator type. So that's where we get the four versus five. But all of each type has its own strategy for how to show up in life, for how your energy works in life. And generator types, which includes manifesting generators, have these big enveloping auras. They take everything in. We want to just like magnetize everything to us, and our strategy is to respond. So responding is different than reacting, but it is actually responding to things that are already happening around you. So you're not here to initiate as a generator type, but we've all been conditioned to go out and make things happen, right? Like the Nike commercials, just do it. But as a generator, we wait to respond, which doesn't mean that you're doing nothing while you're waiting to respond. The secret is in making the waiting juicy. I love the word juicy. Now you may call it something else. So, as a generator, manifesting generator, your signature theme, the thing that you makes you know that you are 100% on track, is when you feel satisfied. So I would ask you, how would you describe a feeling of satisfaction when you are fully and totally satisfied? What does that feel like for you? For me, it feels juicy in my sacral. It's like, you know, the moment after the perfect kiss or that first bite of a junior mint when you've been craving chocolate all day. You know what I'm saying? Or this might be not enough for this podcast, but like really, really, really good sex. The feeling you have in your body after satisfaction, absolutely satisfied. So by doing what you love as a generator type, you experience this feeling of satisfaction. And when you feel really fully satisfied, your energy field is open to all of the things that the universe is trying to send your way for you to respond to. So in real life, it could look like, let's say you're slaving it away at your desk and you're trying to create a course because you've heard that online courses are the only way to make money in the online space. That's a topic for another episode. But anyway, it feels like a slog. You're sitting at your desk and you're frustrated. When you're frustrated, it's telling you that you're off track. It's not that you're doing something wrong. It's like, hey, something's off track here in you. Your energy is not flowing the way that it should be flowing. It's not that you're getting the task wrong. It's probably that you weren't in response and you just tried to create from nothing. So it feels like a slog. It feels like you have to drag yourself into your office. It feels like you're looking at your laptop and you want to smash it against the wall. Frustration is building and it's just not coming together like it should. It is difficult, really, really difficult to make the thing happen. That's because you're not in response, you're initiating. So try this instead. Let's say that you have an idea for an online course and you're in this mastermind, and someone is talking about creating courses, and you feel your sacral get juicy. You feel yourself be pulled. Think how a magnet pulls something to it. And I wish you could see me. My body is like moving with my sacral. So your sacral, if you're new here, your sacral is a center that is located in your body, just below your belly button, and that's the creative and the life force center. So that's like magnetizing you to the experiences that are right for you. So you're in this mastermind, and you hear someone talking about creating courses, and then you go to a coffee shop and you overhear two women talking about what your business focus is and that they're wishing that they could learn more about that. And then you see a billboard on the way home that says, create your online course effortlessly. Today, you get home and there's a postcard in your mailbox advertising an online course. So at that point, I think it's safe to say that the universe is giving you confirmation you've responded to something. And the universe is like showing you, hey, look at this, look at this, look at this, look at this, look at this. You're seeing online courses everywhere. And then you get to take another, another step. And this isn't just for generators. This is for all of us. Okay? So now you have to decide what course you're going to create. I would love for you, no matter what your human design type, to get into the habit of not creating anything before you've sold it. I know, right? I know. You want to create the thing. You want to have the course all the t's crossed and the I's dotted and you want to be able to put this perfect thing out into the ethers and say, look what I did. I made this for you. But you know what's going to happen, right? You haven't lived until you've had that happen, where you've put that perfect thing that you've slaved away on out into the ethers and you get crickets. It is painful. So what you want to do instead is you want to pre sell your course or your offer because you want to vet your idea. You could realistically spend months and months toiling away on this course that will never sell. I see this happen so many times with clients that I work with and they come to me and they are discouraged and they think they're never going to make a dollar in the online space. And they think that only the Jenna Kuchers of the world, and I'm trying to think of someone else, the Amy Porterfields, only. Only those people will make money in the online space. But that's not the case. There is a lot of money being made in the online space. But what you're doing is you are going to vet your idea first. So you're putting feelers out there to see what your people are struggling with and how you can help. You want to be paid to create your course because otherwise you're going to spend weeks or months on end creating this perfect thing. You're not getting paid anything while you're doing that. And then you put it out and it doesn't sell. And maybe you've paid for a tech stack behind it and maybe you've paid for VA and all of those things. So pre sell your beta round. Pre sell it. And as a generator, I'm going to tell you, generator, manifesting generator, I'm going to tell you that teaching your first round of your course live is the most magical thing that you will ever do. Because you will continually be responding to your clients. You'll create far better content than you will when you're in your office alone because you're built for response. So I'll give you another real life example that happened to me today. So a friend of mine, Laurie-Ann Murabito, you can look up her podcast. It's Be in Demand she is a speaking coach. She is absolutely brilliant, and she was in my content by design course call today. And she said, you know, I'm just kind of wondering because there was so much gold in that call today. What if you got speaker pipe? So that's an app where people can leave you voice memos. So what if you got speaker pipe and you had us drop the gold from our session with you that you could then use as a little intro onto your podcast episodes? This is not the first time I've heard about speaker Pipe. This is not the first time I've heard this idea. But immediately, I was like, oh, my gosh, you're brilliant. I am mind blown here. This is what I need to do. It was me in response. Now, if I had just heard about speakpipe and gone on speakpipe and tried to do that myself, it probably would have been a slog. It would have been like me trying to make something happen through that. But because my sacral responded to that with a yes yes, then I know that it's the right thing for me. So I waited, and now I'm in response. How does it feel in your body? I explained some of the experiences that it may feel like it may feel different to you. A lot of people on my call today said that it felt like a big exhale. They feel calm. I do not feel calm. When my sacral responds, I feel anything but calm. So I'm always surprised. We all have a different lived experience, right? But I'm always kind of surprised when people say, I feel calm when or I feel like I can exhale. I'm like, really? I feel like, oh, I'm gonna do this. I'm so excited. So for me, it's juicy. It's satisfying, it's effortless. I'm in the flow. When you are responding, you are so able to be in the flow. It's like nothing could stop you if it tried. So you can tone your sacral. You can totally make your sacral. I was going to say make it work better. That's not what we want to do, but you can. You need to practice living in response. You need to practice living in response. You need. And the way that you can do that is by allowing yourself to feel satisfied. As a generator type, you are here to feel full on satisfaction. And when you feel satisfaction, you will light up the field around you and you will draw, magnetize the experiences, the people, the places, the things to you that you're meant to experience, that you're meant to respond to, tone your sacral by asking yes or no questions. So ask the people in your life to ask you yes or no questions. You know, and I am so guilty of this, as you can tell in this episode. I can babble when you're with someone and they're, you know, they're babbling on about this, that and the other thing in their business, and blah, blah. And you just want to say, like, is there a question in there? I. Because as a generator or a manifesting generator, like, it can feel a little bit like deer in the headlights when people are going on with all of this information swirling around, there's no question. So it doesn't give you something to respond to. It doesn't give you something to grasp onto, or they're giving you so many choices. Do you want to go for fish and chips? Would you like to go to the pub? Would you like to go for pizza? Do you feel like Italian? What about Mexican? And you're like, uh huh. Like, you just can't respond because there's too many things. So yes or no questions. Do you want italian? And your sacral will go, or uh huh. Or uh uh. Like, you will have a response in your body to that. Do you want to create a course about meditation? Do you want to teach people how to play singing bowls? Do you want to be a health coach? Do you want to work with moms over 40 who are struggling with secondary fertility issues? You know, like, you can ask your sacral absolutely anything. So you tone it by you asking yourself yes or no questions. So when you take your lunch break today and you go into your kitchen and you look at your cupboards, don't stand there and look at all the things that you could have. Ask yourself, do I want tuna? Do I want eggs? Do I want salad? Do I want a bagel? So just ask yourself one thing at a time, and then set the people up in your life to ask you something. You know, it's like when you can engage your sacral by being asked, it makes everything come alive in you. So that's what it feels like in real life. So I better wrap this up. I'm getting way around the mulberry bush on this one. It just makes me so excited to think about response. So the good news is that you get to play with how this feels in your body. It's your experiment, it's your lived experience. So you get to play with how it feels to sit back and wait for something to respond to. And it will feel different for you than it feels for me. But it will be magical just the same. So allow yourself to wait. And it doesn't mean you're waiting lying on the couch, eating bonbons. It just means that you are waiting. And while you are waiting, your only job is to be satisfied. Your only job is to be lit up for whatever it is that you are doing so that when the opportunities come, you will be magnetizing the right things to you for you to respond to. Okay, if you would love to submit a question to have me answer, maybe in less than 15 minutes. Not like this episode. I absolutely love it because it gives me something to respond to. So reach out on Instagram, it's vickie.dickson. Or on the website. All the links are in the show notes with your question, and I will answer it live on a show.…

I have just finished the last of our three day masterclass series at the time of this recording, and I am fired up and ready to go. Welcome to Unjaded. This is your straight talk, shoot from the hip, wrapped in a little bit of love, Human Design for Business podcast. We talk a lot here about clarifying your message so that you can bring in paying clients with ease and ease is different from easy. Stick around to find out how we roll here. I'm your host, Vickie Dickson. I am a 2/4 emotional manifesting generator, light on the emotional, and I'm a quad right in human design in real speak. I am an entrepreneur of 30 plus years. I've had every kind of business there is, and I always say that business is my love language. I can't wait to dive in with you here on the podcast. So I thought it would be fun to take you through some of what we have done in the three day masterclass series because these are some of the things that you can be doing in your content now in order to bring you paying clients. So on day one, we talked a lot about your human design profile and how it influences your content, because your profile is the role that you were here to play in the movie of your life. It's who you be as you move through your life, and your content needs to reflect that. We also talked about the types of content that everybody tells you that you have to be posting all the time, and then you post all of this content. You spend so much time slaving over posting this content and it doesn't get you hired. So you may have heard that you need to be posting more educational content and you feel like you're basically teaching a free course on Instagram with your content. You may be feeling like you have to be entertaining people and you don't want to dance on reels. Hello, I'm with you on that one. You may be feeling like you rely way too much on inspiring content. You just go to your default of, oh, I can't think of anything to post, so I'm just going to post something inspiring and at least it will be uplifting and it will add love and light into the world and all of those things, but it doesn't get you hired. The other thing that I think there's one other type of content that you're either using it too much or you're never using it, and that is sales content. Right? We either shy completely away from selling content or we're selling in some way or another all the time. And selling can be as little as a constant call to action for people, you know, wearing your audience out, asking them to comment, words and things like this. So we talked about those types of content, and then we talked about how to add the flavor that actually makes people want to hire you. And that flavor that you want to be thinking about adding is things that build authority in your content. You need to show up as an authority in your content in order to get hired. You can educate until the cows come home. You can inspire all day long, and nobody is going to hire you if you haven't built authority. You want to also make your content relatable. You want to empathize and relate without jumping in the pool with your people, without being like, oh, I'm here with you. I feel you so much. You know, you're not there with them. You are a few steps ahead of the people who are going to hire you. And then, of course, your people need to trust you in order to hire you. And the way that you build trust is by showing up on the regular. People need to be able to count on you. They need to know what you stand for and that you're going to still stand for that tomorrow and a week from now and a month from now in your content. So that was day one. On day two, we took a detour. We were going to cover something completely different. But in the Facebook group, what I noticed is that people are not clear on the problem that they solve. Most people are not clear on the problem that they solve. And you can never create the right kind of content, the content that's going to get you hired if you don't know what you actually solve for your people. So, you know, we tend to think of niche as the person that we serve. You know, we've done all of these exercises around our ideal client, avatar, and what she drives and how much money she makes and who she's married to and where she lives, what kind of jeans she wears and all of these things. And it doesn't matter. At the end of the day, what I invite you to really put some thought into is what is the problem that you actually solve? Because if you're not solving a problem in your business, then you are a nice to have and you don't want to be a nice to have. You need to be a need to have. People need what you have. But if they don't know that you solve a problem for them, they can't need you enough in order to hire you. And then today, we just got off the call today. Oh, my gosh. So much happened today. We talked about the seven places in your human design that you can be leveraging in order to bring paying clients into your world. And I am going to cover those quickly with you here today. So the first thing we talked about is your human design strategy. That's kind of a no brainer, right? If you're here, you already understand that you have a strategy in your human design. However, I teach a lot of human design practitioners in the content by design course. And the thing that they say the most is, oh, my God. Now I finally know what it means to use my strategy in my content. I was using it in other parts of my life, but I didn't know how to use it in my content, and now I do. And then we look at your profile, which we've already talked about here. We look at who you're here to serve, and you can find this in the lines of your nodes. So I know that might be weird language. If you're new to human design and you're here, what I'm going to do is pop a human design chart into the show notes for you, and I'll have these things circled so that you know where to find it. So you're going to look at the lines of your node to see who you actually are talking to. You're going to see the profile lines of the people that you're talking to. So you'll have your profile, which is who you're here to be, and then the profile of the people you're talking to, which is who you're speaking to. So you need to consider that in your content. Then you're going to look at your mercury. Now, in the human design circles, you will hear that your mercury is your message. And I got into so much trouble with this in my own design, it kept me stuck for so long. My conscious mercury is gate 27. Gate 27 is a theme in my design, and it is all about nurturing. Oftentimes, the old and the young, we have an affinity to the old and the young, to keeping everybody close and safe. We are mama bears. We're nurturing. And I worked with so many coaches, some of them very, very expensive coaches at the time. It was $1,000 an hour at the time, a few years ago. And I came out of these coaching containers always being told that I needed to be a self love or a self esteem coach. If you've been in my world a while, you would not necessarily look at any of the content that I produce, any of the things in my world and think, oh my God, that girl needs to be teaching self love. She's so soft, right? No, that's not how I roll. And it really kept me stuck because I tried to make myself fit into this. And there's danger in that in the human design space. There's danger in taking one piece of your human design and being like, I am, this, this is what I have to do. So what we look at in the content by designs, courses, we look at all of these pieces and how they relate to one another. It's all in the nuances. That is the goal in your human design is in the nuances. How does everything kind of sit together? How does it make the beautiful soup that is you? So we also look at your unconscious Mars, because your unconscious Mars is said to be your vocation. And your deepest wound, your core wound, is in that unconscious Mars. So that is something that needs to be expressed when you speak from the scar and not the wound. That needs to be expressed in your content. And it is going to deeply, deeply flavor your message. We look at your openness versus your definition. So you'll hear in human design circles that you want to sell from your openness and deliver from your definition. Another way to think of that is any of the open or undefined areas in your design are where you call people to you, right? Those are themes that play out in relationship and your customer, your clients are relationships. You're in relationship with your customers and clients. So you can draw people to you in your sales messaging through the openness in your design. But you're always going to deliver from your definition, because your definition is what you breathe out into the world. Your definition is who you be in the world. One of the other quick things that we talked about, and we spend a lot of time on this in the course, is the energy that either reaches or tries to reach your throat. Because you could be someone who has a lot of pressure on your throat coming from, say, your emotional center or coming from your spleen. There's a way that you're supposed to speak. There's a way that you are able to speak, I should say, based on the energy that is pushing for your throat, because those are things that long to be expressed. So that's a little bit of what we went over today. We did hot seats like crazy. We were over 2 hours on the call and it was so much fun. If you are thinking about joining us in the content by design course, the doors are now open. They opened yesterday and I would love to have you in there with me. I'm going to put that link in the show notes for you so that you can check it out if you are ready to really own your message, so that you call your paying clients to you with ease. Every time you post, every time you write a blog, every time you deliver a podcast episode, whatever content you're putting out into the ethers, it has a job to do and that job is to get you hired. If you are just creating content for the sake of filling up the ethers and satisfying the algorithm, then you're missing the mark because your content should be getting you hired. And if it's not, I would love nothing more than to fix that with you so that you have a real legit business and you make a go of it because the world needs what you have. I'm also going to put a link in the show notes for you. There is a replay page for these three sessions with me. It's about 5 hours of content in the room with me and whether the content by design course is in the cards for you or not, you will be able to get value from this masterclass series and move yourself closer to creating the content that gets you hired. Thank you for being here in my world. I appreciate you and I'll see you back here next Monday.…

Life is gonna kick you around. Stay Unjaded ! ✌️ 💙 Vickie Episode Transcript It was a Monday morning, September 25, 2023, and the unjaded Human Design for Entrepreneurs podcast had hit the airwaves. We were doing a fun thing with our listeners where we had unjaded mugs, we had swag that we gave out, and people were sharing about the podcast. If you were there on day one, I would love, love, love to hear from you because you have made this podcast a success over the last year. And I thank you. So we were doing this thing with swag where people were sharing on social media, and we wanted to climb the charts to become one of the best podcasts in Canada. And we did it. We did it because it's a numbers game, right? So just like a best selling book hits the charts by, you know, playing with the numbers. We did that with this podcast, and it was so much fun. I hope you had fun doing it if you were here and if you weren't here. We're going to do it again for the anniversary, so don't you worry. Welcome to Unjaded, your straight talk shoot from the hip, wrapped in a little bit of love. Human design for business podcast. We talk a lot here about clarifying your message so that you can bring in paying clients with ease. And ease is different from easy. Stick around to find out how we roll here. I'm your host, Vicki Dixon. I am a two four emotional manifesting generator, light on the motional, and I'm a quadrite in human design in realspeak. I am an entrepreneur of 30 plus years. I've had every kind of business there is, and I always say that business is my love language. I can't wait to dive in with you here on the podcast. So welcome to the anniversary episode of the Unjaded podcast, and thank you for being here today. I'm going to take you behind the scenes and tell you how and why this podcast came to be and how I come up with content for it, and how the flow of the podcast has been over the course of the year. And I'm going to do this in a way that brings in your human design and your need for content creation in your business. Okay? So hold onto your hat. This is going to be a long one. I mean, longer than what we normally go for on this podcast, but full of lots of juicy nuggets that you can use in your own business. So back in 2023, I attended Randy Gage's tribal mastermind. It was his signature event at the time. His last one, it was his swan song. There were 13 of us in the room, and I remember getting an email saying to bring your podcasting equipment and somebody would be able to interview him for their podcast. And I thought, I'm not really drawn to a podcast. I have no interest in a podcast. This was, I think, like, say, around July, mid July last year. And we get into the room and everybody's talking about podcasting, podcasting, podcasting. And Randy is talking about how search is going to audio and how we best get more audio. That needs to be our main focus is getting more audio out into the ethers as quickly as we can. So there's number one tip for you. If you're not using audio in your business, find a way to be using audio. If you do, you don't want to do a podcast, that's okay. But you could do a vlog, you could do some YouTube videos, you could do screen shares on YouTube. If you don't want to have your face on YouTube, I'm going to say, not so lovingly and gently, but you may need to get over that if you're in business, okay, not having your face online. But if it's just not for you, then screen recordings, things like that can be good for your YouTube. But get your voice out into the ethers because search is going to audio. So I kept hearing this over and over and over again at tribal. And then there came the day where we had the chance to interview Randy for a podcast. I'm like, I don't even have a podcast. I don't know what I would say. I don't know what I would ask. I'm just. I don't know. But I could feel my sacral. Like I always say, it's being zhuzhed up. I could feel my sacral being zhuzhed up. I was like, oh, do I want a podcast? Like, I was getting lots of things to respond to as a manifesting generator. And I had made two friends fairly quickly at tribal. We're still friends now. We are business buddies, and we do so many things together. We talk almost every day. But Lori Anne Mirabido has her own podcast called in demand. It is all about speaking to grow your business. And she and Tessa Brock, who also has a podcast in the mental health field, they were really pushing me to go for this opportunity, and I kind of sat back like my introverted second line self and just let the opportunity pass. But, you know, it wasn't there for me. Like, it wasn't there in my sacral for me to do this interview with Randy. It just didn't feel like the right thing, and I knew it wasn't the right thing, so I came home, and I kept feeling this draw towards a podcast, and I kept hearing Randy's voice in my head about audio search. So I came home, and within six weeks of having those conversations at tribal, the podcast was born. The undated podcast was born. And just like any birth, it was beautiful. And there was some ugliness at the same time. There was blood and guts. As I found my way along, you know, I started recording at the cottage, and I had no idea what I was supposed to be doing. I didn't know that you needed a soft room. I had a microphone and headphones, just the little Apple wired headphones, and I thought that was all that you needed. And I was at the cottage, which is all hardwood, and I had a fan running in the upstairs window, and I sent some test runs to Lorianne, and she's like, there's a weird hum there. And here I am thinking, some magical editor in the sky is going to be able to take all of this and make it perfect, right? I didn't really get it, so I made a lot of mistakes. There was one episode at the cottage in the very first five episodes, where I actually am in a blanket fort. I pulled myself. I'm like, okay, I need a soft space. So I sat on one of the beds upstairs. I turned off all of the noise everywhere, had the windows closed, and I put myself into a blanket fort to be able to get some softness around me, to be able to record the podcast, because I had hired an editor, and she really needed those episodes in order to get them ready, because we were doing a big launch. Right? In my world, everything is go big or go home. So if you were there from the beginning, again, thank you. But, you know, we launched this in a big way. We launched seven or eight episodes on day one, and we did a lot of hype around it so that we would climb the charts. And I'm going to talk to you about that chart climb in this episode as well. So, for me, it's always done as better than perfect. And I know that that can drive people crazy, and I know that I make a lot of mistakes, partly why I have such an affinity to third line profiles in human design, especially three fives, because as a manifesting generator, really going where my sacral guides me and being in response to life around me, things don't always go smoothly, and I can kind of wear people out because I have so much energy in me to do the things right, but done is better than perfect. And I remember hearing in the very beginning that if you're not embarrassed by your first few episodes, then you haven't put it all on the line. So let's just say that everything was on the line. And when I go back, I'm mortified at those first few episodes. I still link to them in blogs and things and I'm like, oh, sweet Jesus, and you will be too. So when you do something that's scary, when you do something that's really big, that's going to move your business forward, you're going to look back on those first things that you did and be embarrassed that they are the way they are because they're not going to be polished like they will be later. Just like this episode that I'm doing today. You know, a year from now, I'm going to look back on this and go, oh my gosh, what was I thinking? Because we just keep growing. At least that's what we're here for if we're in business, right, is that we're just on this personal growth journey and we get to try all of the things and just keep learning and growing as we go along. So just do the thing in your business already. Okay? All right. I have this part of me, this gate 27 that nurtures it is a theme in my design. It is both my vocation and my core wound and gene keys, and it is my conscious mercury. So it's a big part of how I do the things that I do and how I speak the way that I speak my entire design is about bringing you along on my journey. I lead by example, often with the egg on my face as things go wrong. And I'm putting that in air quotes because maybe you can relate. And if you've been here on the podcast a while, you've seen that where it is beautiful and gets a bit dicey for me, is that some of my people, and I thank you. If you are listening here, and you are one of these people, from the bottom of my heart, I thank you for being here. Some of my people have been with me for decades because that's what my design does. My design brings you with me on the journey. And some of my people have been with me for three decades through every iteration of my business, whether I was in clothing and accessories, furniture, holistic health, essential oils, frequency therapy, crystals, or human design. You have come with me and I can fall into this shadow pattern in this gate 27 energy of thinking and feeling. Like, I owe it to you to bring you with me. Even when that's no longer where my energy is. So as a generator or a manifesting generator, remember that what the universe wants you to do is play in the energy of what's alive for you right now. As a second line profile in my own human design, it's all about what's alive for me right now. What am I being called to do? Because remember, as a second line, it's about the call. You will have your gifts called from you, and you got to be ready to go when that gift is called out. And then as a quad, right? In my own design, it's about what people are pulling out of me. So I've had a winding road to refining my niche, and the podcast has been a huge kind of mirror for me. When I've looked back on my episodes, I'm like, whoa. I can see the clarity and the refining in my niche as I've gone along. So I want to unpack that with you because I know that if you're here and you're listening and you have a business, this niche conversation can be a hard thing to wrap your head around. And especially in the human design space, right? We hear that human design is the niche, and it can be in the beginning. But I'm going to walk you through how it can feel to define your niche and why you're going to want to define your niche as you go along. It's coming. If you're tired of being a slave to the algorithm and you're really ready to claim your place in the online space, then this message is for you. I'm getting ready to launch another live round of the content by design course, where you learn to leverage your human design so that you can create content that draws your ideal clients to you with ease, without feeling yucky or salesy, and definitely without being a slave to the algorithm. We work on blog posts and email sequences and podcast episodes and social media posts and all of the things. Because no matter what you're creating, it needs to come from who you are here to be, what you're here to say, how you're here to say it, and who you're here to say it to. Get on the waitlist. The link is in the show notes for you. So in the beginning, my niche was broad. I still had my holistic health practice. I had a bricks and mortar store that had the great fortune of opening on March 7, 2020. Really bad timing. And side note on that, I should do an episode on that one time. I knew that that was not the thing for me I remember sitting there signing the papers and hoping someone else would back out because I didn't feel like I could back out, even though I wanted to. So that's. That's something about the emotional authority piece that we'll dive into another day. But in the beginning, my niche was broad. It was human design for life, relationships, and the business you were made for. And because I was still serving in my holistic health practice and I had a crystal business, I still had a lot of my people who've been with me forever, and I wanted to bring them along because my design brings something new into the community and brings people along in that new thing. And with that gate 27 in such a prominent place, there can be a lot of like, oh, I just really want to nurture you and keep you with me. The thing is, I knew in my soul, even back then, that it was business for me. I knew that it wasn't about relationships. I knew that it wasn't about life. Even though I love doing, like, relationship charts and things like that. It was all about business. I've been a successful entrepreneur for over three decades. I have built four multiple six figure businesses on my own and one in partnership. But, you know, when I was starting out, a well known teacher in our space looked at my design in a group meeting, and she said that I really wasn't built for business. And it was so early in my human design journey that I believed her. And I felt like a fraud. So I tried to be about something else, even though this inner calling, this second line being called out was always being called out for business. And if you look back on the last year of the podcast, you'll see that I'm going further and further and further into business because that's what I'm made for. I can look at those first episodes. I can look at, you know, by the time this airs, we will be almost at 100 episodes, if not at 100. And I can look over the course of that year and go, wow. My soul just kept calling me further into my niche. So for me, thankfully, another reader very, very early in my human design journey was like, looking at my chart and she's like, WTF else are you here for if you are not here for business? That makes no sense. All I see is business when I look at your design. And here's the lesson that I want you to take from that. As you listen to this podcast, you get to do what lights you up. You get to do what you're called to do. Stop looking for answers outside of yourself....…

I am a two four emotional manifesting generator, light on the motional, and I'm a quadrite in human design. In realspeak. I am an entrepreneur of 30 plus years. I've had every kind of business there is, and I always say that business is my love language. I can't wait to dive in with you here on the podcast. And for today's episode, I'm answering a listener question. Listener Question from Cat Matson: Hi, Vickie. Cat Matson here from impactful presenters. My question is, as a manifesting generator, how do I set goals if I'm not designed to initiate? What's the role of goals in my business and how do I set them in a way that they're empowering and encouraging and not shoulding? Thanks. Ah, that's a good question. Right? Response is such an interesting piece of the puzzle. And I hear this over and over again again from generator and manifesting generator clients and audience members that they really don't understand what response means. I had a conversation with someone just a couple of weeks ago, and she was saying that she always thought that response had to be another person, that she was waiting for another person to give her something to respond to. And I'm like, no, no, no. You can respond to anything in the universe. The whole universe is conspiring with you as a generator type, so you don't need another person in order to get going on something. But this question is so good because how do we set goals? Why do we set goals if we're just waiting for our response to guide us around the planet? So I'm really of the camp that business is business, right? There are things that need to be done in your business and your life, no matter what your human design type. And how I encourage you to use human design and how I use my human design is to do the things that need to be done in alignment with my human design, because that is my path of least resistance. That always makes things easier. So goal setting for me is something where I'm in response. I absolutely love January. I know we set goals other times other than January, but I love January because I am really in the energy of responding to the things around me. I'm really in response to the energy of the books that I'm reading, the people that I'm listening to, maybe the podcasts I'm listening in on, the audiobooks I'm listening in on. When I'm going for my walks, there's lots of response happening for me because you've heard me say here before, my sacral is all juiced up. Like it really feels juicy in my body to be in the energy of goal setting. So I think you are responding when you're setting goals. You're setting your goals based on what you've responded to. Maybe you've been inspired by someone who's making a million dollars in their business. Maybe you've been inspired by someone who's making a hundred thousand dollars in their business. Maybe you've been inspired by the way someone's feed looks on social media when you go on, or the way they show up in their email, or an event that you'd love to attend, a mastermind that you'd like to be a part of. There's all kinds of things that you're responding to, but sometimes I think that we don't recognize it as response. We feel like because it's starting to happen in our body, it can't be the thing, right? But when we really lean into that and trust the juiciness of our sacral center, we get to feel that kind of guiding us towards things and away from things. So I think you do still go ahead and set the goals. I mean, even think about going to the gym, right, or setting goals for your physical health. If you never have something that you're working towards, then chances are, you know, your health is just going to fall by the wayside. You're going to get more and more out of shape. Whereas if you have a goal of, you know what, I would like to be in this type of shape, or I would like to be at this weight easily, or I would like to be this flexible, you know, you're thinking of those things, then you're going to work towards it. And then within that, with that goal in mind, then you can choose your workouts by what you're in response to. Some days you're going to do yoga, some days you're going to do kettlebells. Some days you're going to do hiit training. Some days you're going to run, but you kind of play within it. But you do have a picture of what you're really going for in life. And, you know, my, my childhood days of Bible verses are coming back to me. Without a vision, the people perish. And I think that we all need a vision. No matter the human design type, you need to have that vision, and then you use your human design strategy and the rest of your design, but you use your human design strategy in order to create the path of least resistance towards that goal. Does that make sense? I hope that it makes sense. And I don't think our goals should ever be a should thing. Right. I think maybe that's another piece of human design where human design makes it a little bit easier, where we no longer have to have those shoulds on us. Like we know that. Okay. This is the general idea of what I'd like to get to. And I'm 100% open, dear universe, to you, guiding me there some way, somehow. And I'm going to set the plans in place in my business that I know my business requires of me. And I'm just going to trust that I'm going to get sign after sign after sign put in my way. That's going to guide me on the path to get to this goal. That's the most beautiful thing about your human design, is that it will guide you in a way that doesn't break your life.
