When you're trying to respond to an emotionally difficult situation, how you deal with it on the outside is as important as what you feel inside, but as you'll see in the wacky new comedy web series INNARDS, what happens in our brains as we attempt to make sense of life's weirdest crises. Produced by legendary schlockmeisters Troma, and streaming on the studio’s YouTube channel TromaMovies, INNARDS is directed by the marvelous Lily-Hayes Kaufman (herself a great filmmaker in addition to being the daughter of Troma founder Lloyd Kaufman) and is co-written by Don K. Hooper (New York Times best-selling co-author of the acclaimed children's anthology BLACK BOY JOY) and Daryn Strauss (creator of the award-winning thriller series I AM YOU).
The show is filled with hilarious parodies and takeoffs on familiar genres, like daytime soap operas and even music videos, as evidenced by the one you'll see in the first episode. It features an original song, also titled INNARDS, which was co-written by Hooper, who appears in a film noir sequence during the show’s soap spoof 'The Young and The Lunchless'.
