Suzanne is both a Registered Professional Nurse and Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist actively working in the health field for the past 20 + years. Suzanne's experience in both nursing and counseling has informed her framework as a holistic mental health provider. Over the years, she has worked at a variety of milieus including outpatient community clinics, inpatient psychiatry units and private practices located in both central NY and Manhattan. Suzanne is the founder of her private practice, Heart in Hand: Individual and Couples Therapy, located in central New York. She is licensed to practice psychotherapy in both NY State and New Hampshire.
In her practice, Suzanne works collaboratively with her clients. She utilizes somatic therapy techniques and Narrative Therapy as her foundation while also interweaving from the models of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Attachment Theory, Jungian Psychology and the Gottman Method. She utilizes Jungian theory most frequently with dream analysis and archetype integration.Her primary areas of expertise are helping folks work through relationship difficulties, life cycle transitions, as well as addiction and eating disorder recovery.
From March 2023-December 2023, Suzanne was featured weekly on CNY's Best Morning Show on Lite 98.7 during which she discussed relationship topics and dilemmas with then co-hosts Envy McGee and Dave Wheeler. Suzanne is currently a recurring guest on The Envy McGee Show which airs every Friday evening via WURD Radio. She has also been a contributor in a variety of podcasts discussing topics such as Symbolic Loss, Connection and Reincarnation.
