In this episode, we speak with Tonja Johnson, who was diagnosed with vitiligo in 2014 and faced significant challenges in finding information and support in Florida. This experience led her to found the Beautifully Unblemished Support Group, Inc. in 2017, a non-profit organization that provides social connectivity and vital resources for those living with vitiligo.
Tonja shares her journey with vitiligo, her mission to empower others, and her advocacy work in public health. She discusses engaging with government officials, school authorities, and community activists across Florida to promote vitiligo awareness. Tonja also highlights her features in national media and her active participation in various organizations dedicated to skin health.
