When you can express how you really feel, it makes you feel more comfortable standing up for yourself and setting expectations. One of the key aspects I teach my clients is how to articulate themselves effectively during difficult conversations. We are capable of updating the relationships in our life to match our wants and needs. Connecting to our own wants and needs is a process but it can be an incredible journey. One of the greatest advantages of remaining authentic, no matter the situation, is that there's no need to put on a performance to feel accepted. Having confidence and knowing that we can handle the stress that comes with advocating for ourselves is so important. The ultimate goal is to achieve overall integrity and lasting comfort.
