In today's episode, we talk about the idea of fascia being an integral role in EVERYTHING movement related within the human body... but also how it's been appropriated as a marketing term to create a lot of hype without a lot of substantiation. Typically, strength and conditioning (S&C) coaches will dismiss fascia as an important variable (or a variable at all) worth considering. Some functional fitness fellas go whole hog in the other direction and insist that if you're not training your fascial fitness, then you're doomed to deal with destruction of your joints, and are booking a one-way ticket to snap city. As usual, we try to find the nuance in the middle, and also have a little bit of discussion related to: - What biomechanics taught us about life - What we're eating lately (and the nutritional failure that was my carnivore diet experiment) - What is a "flow state" and how do we access it?
