Ginger delves into a topic all women face in menopause: chronic inflammation. As she shares, inflammation in the body is a good thing when it's short-term; our body needs inflammation for healing. However, as we go through menopause, chronic inflammation can set in, causing chronic pain. Ginger describes inflammation hot spots in the body. After experiencing shoulder pain and doing the research, she discovered it was linked to a lack of estrogen. The shoulder area is estrogen-fed, and when it's not getting what it needs, it's angry and inflamed.

Inflammatory markers in the body could be caused by many factors.
