It has become more common to be driven by money. No person can serve two masters (ESV Bible, 2001, Luke 16:13; ESV Bible, 2001, Matthew 6:24) with any sort of ethical code. In an ethically drive system of education, money cannot supersede.
“But Moses said to the LORD, “Oh, my Lord, I am not eloquent, either in the past or since you have spoken to your servant, but I am slow of speech and of tongue.” Then the LORD said to him, “Who has made man’s mouth? Who makes him mute, or deaf, or seeing, or blind? Is it not I, the LORD? Now therefore go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall speak” (ESV Bible, 2001, Exodus 4:10-12).
Unfortunately, money has overtaken ethics in a majority of colleges and universities. Professors are glorified for the research money they bring into the college of university. Consequently, student tutelage takes a back seat and over time, professors become less inclined to focus on student welfare.
We believe students will begin speaking to this issue with their dollar. We believe students are going to be less willing to incur student debt in exchange for research-minded professors. We believe, that if the education system does not make a change, you will see students seeking to be self-taught and self-employed.
We pray that our message today has encouraged you and that you will seek the Bible more fervently than ever. Blessing to you our brothers and sisters.
