Absolute honour to have Dr. Steffanie Strathdee as my guest for episode 19.
Dr. Strathdee is an infectious disease epidemiologist, Associate Dean of Global Health Sciences, Harold Simon Professor at the University of California San Diego School of Medicine and Co-Director at the Center for Innovative Phage Applications and Therapeutics. Herself and husband; Thomas Patterson, are also authors of the book 'The Perfect Predator: A Scientist's Race to Save Her Husband from a Deadly Superbug'.
On the podcast we talk about Phage Therapy, what it is and the difference it can make in the Superbug Epidemic, the struggle Dr. Strathdee and her husband faced, recovery and everything that happened in between. I really hope you find it as fascinating and important as I did.
