Grant picks up a tweet thread from Simon Wright, former head of Hawkes, which again, leads the guys down a serious route in cider, and ends in invitation to the show. A spotlight is naturally shone on everyone’s favourite subject; TAX! Then it’s time for this week’s deep dive into the cider world’s news!

In the news this week, Scott drops his lasso and six-shooter in shock at The Cider Salon’s return. It’s an event the guys hold near and dear to their heart, and showcases the world of cider for everything great it is and can be, just remember to eat and forgo the bloody pre-drinks! This week’s guest has been an ever prominent voice and presence in cider’s drive for modernity over the last few years. Absolutely sound guy Sam Nightingale has been combining the aromatic freshness and intensity of Kentish fruit with controlled wild fermentations has led to the creation of some of the most crushably outstanding ciders of the last few years. The guys crack two ciders in 440ml cans, which seems like a revelation in itself, so check out the guys’ reaction, and take a guess as to who finishes their can first! They chat about everything, from wild yeast, to the difference between pallets and palliative, forgetting you’ve met someone and saying no to the spitoon!
