Hey Guys, I have ANOTHER new rifle! In this podcast, I talk about, and demonstrate my process of cleaning and preparing a used rifle that I don't know the history of. It is important to clean a rifle when you buy it used because, simply put, you don't know the history. You don't know how many shots have been fired without cleaning.
For this reason, I always prioritize starting with a used gun with a clean bore. Simply put, I saturate the barrel with solvent, allow it to sit, brush it out, and then patch it out. After that I oil the barrel lightly to keep it fresh until I get the chance to shoot it again.
