Hello and welcome back to the Miss Amanda Chen Show. We are now in Season 3 of the 100 Masked Men series this week, where I anonymously interview different men from all walks of life about self identity, expectations from society and how that affects our self worth.
Masked Man #62 is the Visible Man. He shares his transition from being an Asian American female to an Asian American male, and all the things that change, from not being able to smile at women on the street anymore, to having competitive banter with male colleagues. I think what is most interesting is the conversation on the power of sex, specifically moving from what might be considered the top of the totem pole to the bottom when it comes to what our society deems as sexually attractive.
It was so wild to hear the perspective from an individual that has literally experienced both sides of the gender game and how much race is a factor as well when it comes to power plays in society. I hope you enjoy the show.
