  • About our guest

Today’s episode is a conversation between me and my daughter Alicia. I was pregnant with Alicia when I was 16 and given the context of the conversation I think Alicia and I exploring religion and how it oppresses women is significant in and of itself. Alicia is curious, a critical thinker and she’s not afraid to correct me if she thinks I’m wrong. I’m so glad to able to share one of our breakfast conversations with you all!

  • Themes from today

Globalisation of Christianity
Mormon missionaries
Erasure of female history
The patriarchy
Capitalism and family dynamics
The dark side of Manifestation
Irish Catholic Church
Magdeline laundry’s
Weaponising religion
Paganism
Druidism
Religion vs spirituality
Wise words from Alicia

**disclaimer**
Although I have my own beliefs and opinions, I also believe that when it comes to religion and spirituality everyone’s own experience is valid. Concepts like these aren’t always black and white. So I think it’s important to explore them in a critical way, while also holding space and respect for other people’s beliefs too.
