Maya Hahn joins the Bardtenders to talk about her career in the hospitality industry!
Maya grew up in Gainesville, Florida, and got her start in the craft beverage industry there as the general manager of Swamp Head Brewery. She was hooked on the ins and outs of working for small businesses - especially one in the craft alcohol space -but after working in various craft breweries for six years, she found herself "a little over" drinking beer and delved hard (with the help of some friends) into the world of craft cocktails and craft spirits instead. Maya is currently the General Manager of Talnua Distillery in Arvada, Colorado, a distillery that is bringing the old-world tradition of Single Pot Still whiskeys to the United States. At Talnua, she is always conjuring up ways to innovate their front-of-house programs to outshine our competitors. She can also be found behind the bar, doing guided tastings, and creating new cocktails with her front-of-house team.
