Are paid lists worth it? Paying for accolades and inclusion on a "Best Of" or the 'Top 40 Under 40" list may seem like a good idea, but is there really any ROI? Do you get anything beyond social proof? And ultimately, who are you going to impress and why?

My belief is that paying for inclusion does not result in the ROI that you need it to and that there are more substantial ways to better your business. Reading, listening to podcasts, and watching YouTube videos are ways to increase your education and your knowledge, which will create a longer-lasting benefit than any "Best of" inclusion.
