Buongiorno cari amici e amanti dell’italiano e benvenuti all’episodio numero 167.
Siamo in autunno, periodo di malattie: raffreddori, influenza o anche cose più gravi come il Covid e tante persone decidono di vaccinarsi per essere protetti e non ammalarsi.
Vi voglio raccontare da dove deriva questa parola „vaccino“ e farvi un po’ la sua storia.Vaccino deriva dall’aggettivo latino „vaccinus“ cioè della vacca. Forse qualcuno di voi avrà già sentito parlare di „latte vaccino“ che non vuol dire altro che latte di vacca, di mucca.
Ora cosa c’entra l’aggettivo „di vacca“ o „di mucca“ con quelli che noi conosciamo come vaccini, cioè quelle sostenze che vengono iniettate, cioè introdotte nell’organismo attraverso una siringa, con un’iniezione o puntura, per far sì che il fisico sviluppi gli anticorpi necessari per combattere una determinata malattia?
