Rehashing 2014: Neil Scott on WorldBeat (4/5)
Manage episode 316150818 series 3005433
The years of campaigning culminated in the 2014 Scottish independence referendum. The vote swung towards No in 55/45 victory, a razor-thin margin by the standards of a country-wide vote with 84% participation. Revisiting the campaign may feel like beating a dead horse, but the season proved to be a prescient look at the flavor of politics the UK would face in the years following the vote. Neil shares his experiences on the ground as a campaigner and how both the Yes and No campaigns changed Scottish and UK politics.
