Betsy Ross, former ESPN anchor and lifelong Cincinnati Reds fan, joins Jack and Randy for an enjoyable episode that will make you laugh, think, and maybe cry. Betsy grew up as a sports fan - thanks to her mother. After breaking in, Betsy recalls working with former Red Rob Dibble at ESPN, her love of the Cincinnati Reds Opening Day holiday, her Notre Dame days and Harry Oliver's last second 51 yard field goal in 1980 for a 29-27 Irish win - "the wind stopped! " A fascinating account of her barrier breaking career and her current stint as co-founder and president of Game Day Communications.
Betsy was a female sports media personality and published "Playing Ball With the Boys: The Rise of Women in the World of Men's Sports" - a fascinating behind the scenes look at the role women play in sports broadcasting and reporting.
