They had to fire their original contractor half way through the build and ended up self-performing a significant portion of the work.

Despite the challenges, they successfully completed the build within a year and became the number one property in their market. Carrie and Tony discuss their experience with building and launching their short-term rental properties. They emphasize the importance of having clear property goals and a vision for what they wanted to achieve.

They also highlight the value of being able to pivot and adapt during the building process. The Auchly's stress the importance of setting up the property to be loved by themselves and their guests, rather than focusing solely on maximizing profits.
