An acceleration in the evolution of digital technology, the continued growth of eCommerce, the benefits of 3PL outsourcing services for shippers, and trends such as nearshoring mean that demand for modern logistics facilities, fulfillment centers and warehouses remains strong across Europe. In many European countries, however, land in key distribution hubs is scarce and the administrative requirements are complex. So, an innovative approach to site selection and building design is critical to create the space that occupiers need.

On this fifth anniversary of Scannell Properties’ launch in Europe, we talk with Amaury Gariel, head of Scannell’s operations there, about the challenges and opportunities of European industrial and logistics development, and what he believes is the team’s secret to success.
