Trafficking in persons is a serious crime and a grave violation of human rights. Every year, thousands of men, women and children fall into the hands of traffickers, in their own countries and abroad.
In conjunction with World Day against Trafficking in Persons, UNAM Youth will unpack “Trafficking Cruelty: When Will It End?” with guest speaker Datuk Lok Yim Pheng, Commissioner of SUHAKAM and SUHAKAMs representative to the Council of Anti-Trafficking in Persons (MAPO) alongside moderator, Megan CJY, the Head of Delegation to OHCHR 20th session and Malaysia representative to ASEAN Regional Programme on Modern Slavery, Human Trafficking and Forced Labour.
