In 2015 they took the biggest risk of their lives borrowing heavily to purchase their first flip in Scarborough Ontario, they were so invested they slept on the floor of the property while working on the reno. Now just five short years later they have their first upscale project in Rosedale a prosperous neighbourhood located in mid-town in Toronto. Tyler sits down with long time friend and founder of FIT HOP Niko Sofianos. Over the past 18 years, he has been a competitive gymnast, fitness model, musician, sound engineer, teacher, trainer, idea developer, and inspirational leader. At 19 years old he won the title of Mr Intercontinental Canada which afforded him the opportunity to represent Canada around the world. This led to his becoming an internationally acclaimed fitness model. These experiences revealed his comfort interacting with large audiences but left him wondering how to make it more meaningful. Following a breakdancing injury and multiple explorations of ways to heal, combined with his ongoing music production and spiritual learning, he evolved a vision which he titled and trademarked as FIT HOP. FIT HOP is a teacher-led exploration of the human body, mind and creative spirit. Its power is experienced in a group context as integrating movement, music, and message. Through FIT HOP, Niko has redirected his own ADHD, renaming it ‘Attention Dialed Into Higher Dimensions’, and he recognizes that everyone has some kind of restlessness that can be channeled into meaning and aspirational living.
