In this episode we hear from mental health advocate and one of CAMH’s 150 difference makers, Asante Haughton.
Asante speaks for the first time about the stigma he faced from friends and family when he became a father at a young age. We discuss the impact that had on his mental health and the challenges he faced in his relationships. Asante also shares how he overcame those obstacles, finished his degree and eventually started sharing his story publicly with audiences around the world. He has done two TED Talks and co-founded the Reach Out Response Network, an organization that advocates for change in mental health crisis response.
