From the moment she left Bainbridge Island to head to Los Angeles, Bonnie Wallace has been on an adventure. She didn’t know where it was going to lead or what the outcome, but she took the risk. Now she has two daughters thriving in show business, actress/singer Dove Cameron and celeb voice coach Claire Hosterman, and she is a highly successful author, consultant, and podcast host. For her next adventure, she has created and just launched her new app based made-to-order phonics book program We Can Books. Inspired by books her father created as gifts for her daughters to encourage the love of reading, Bonnie is carrying on the family legacy. With a deep desire to be a force for good in the world, she is hoping to help other parents instill confidence in their children when it comes to reading.
In this episode, she talks about following your passion and being open to the adventure along the way, the importance of finding time to bond with kids and reading amidst a digital world, and creating the We Can Books program.
