A trio of original monologues inspired by the theme ‘It’s getting hot in here’ that look at the Climate Crisis.

Join hosts Daniella Down and Sairah Erens on an audio adventure. This episode showcases three very different monologues! From a young boy struggling to get his head around the state of the world and some very big issues, to a fierce eco-warrior who encounters the final — plastic! — at a railway cafe on route from Berlin to Amsterdam, to an intergalactic Mars-coloniser contemplating the world as she returns to Earth.

Monologues

  • ‘I Don’t Understand’ Written by Loveday Smith with help from her son — and narrator — Rufus.
  • ‘Gaia’ written andi performed by Leila Rejali
  • ‘2050’ Written by Hugh Mackay and performed by Rosemary Carlton-Willis
