The ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023 is here, and the Top Order Podcast has you covered with regular game reviews and recaps.

In this episode of the show, we discuss the Day 28 match between South Africa and the Black Caps.

The game started well for New Zealand when Tom Latham won the toss and Trent Boult picked up an early wicket, but from then on South Africa took charge thanks to a 200-run partnership between Quinton de Kock and Rassie van der Dussen.

New Zealand's run chase against Australia had commentators and fans holding out hope they could do it again, but Marco Jansen dismissed Devon Conway and Rachin Ravindra inside the first 10 overs and wickets continued to tumble as the Black Caps limped to a heavy defeat.

Stu and Baldy talk tosses, sixes, run rates, injuries and the outlook for both sides in the run home to the semi-finals.

We'll be back again tomorrow with more news and views, but until then please also take the time to give us a like, follow, share or subscribe on all our channels (@toporderpod on Twitter & Facebook, and @thetoporderpodcast on Instagram & YouTube) and a (5-Star!) review at your favourite podcast provider, or tell a friend to download. It really helps others find the show and is the best thing you can do to support us. You can also find all our written content, including our Hall of Fame series, at our website.
