Rugby fans and experts worldwide – this podcast episode is for you! We talk to Nick Wakley – Former Welsh International and currently Head Coach at the Bury St Edmunds Rugby Club. Nick talks about his life and career and gives a very lively account of playing with (and against) some of the best rugby players in the world.

Nick played for Wales in both the Sevens and Fifteens and shares his thoughts on many parts of the game including Women’s rugby and children getting into rugby for the first time. Nick also gives us a mini analysis on the current Six Nations 2021 tournament currently in progress, and gives his predictions on the tournament – as he says ‘my two predictions are from my head and my heart’!

The Bury St Edmunds Rugby Club is almost 100 years old and is the highest placed club in Norfolk and Suffolk, and considered one of the best clubs in the country. With state-of-the-art pitches, gyms, excellent club facilities, training, coaching and regular matches, The Club has a burgeoning membership, and also plays a vital role in the community by bringing together players, spectators, sponsors, volunteers and all-round lovers of the sport. The club has a large spread of teams from its 1st XV (Nationals 2 League) to the ‘Minis’ – and as they say ‘everyone is welcome’.
