Welcome to the sixth episode of the Stupid Sequels Podcast! Our guest is Liane Walls and we are reviewing The Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Beginning. This movie is a Disney rarity; a prequel to a movie that also gets a sequel. The first film is a childhood favorite of anyone with ears and a heart who too felt like a fish out of water. The sequel seems to vaguely remember it is related to the original film. With pathetic musical number, an incredible cast of under appreciated voice actors and a villain who likes to get things done by employee review this movie was a real flop. We find truly terrible movies and give them all the attention they don’t deserve. ?Each episode we’ll discuss exactly what made such a horrible sequel from casting to budget to just plain bad writing. While we all love a great movie there’s something just a little more fun about watching a seriously stupid sequel. Now while there are plenty of awful sequels out there we have a few guidelines about the kind of movies we’ll be reviewing.
