I’ve been helping radio stations, small businesses, and nonprofits engage with their audiences on Social since the days of MySpace back in the early 2000s. A verb is a word used to describe action. And that’s exactly how you need to think about your brand's social handles. Have an action plan for daily, and weekly social media success. Then put that plan into consistent action. Take action when someone sends you a message by replying as quickly as possible. Take action when someone drops a question in the comments. Reply with an answer in a timely manner. One of your followers shared a post? Take action and thank them. Are you getting the idea? Consistently treat social media as a verb and over time, reap the rewards it can bring your brand.
