Have you ever been talking with someone and they had a piece of food stuck in your teeth? It's like you want to tell them, but you don't want to embarrass them. Right?
Now, let's reverse that situation. Have you ever looked into the mirror and noticed spinach in your own teeth, but didn't do anything about it? Well, today James is going to be using that same analogy when it comes to our Bible Study habits.
James 1:22-24 paints an interesting word picture of how many of us study God’s Word. I hate to admit it, but I’ve been this person many times.
Today, we look at the history of mirrors, our body posture when we look into it, and other crazy facts from this verse.
In under 2 minutes, you will learn:

  • How the word “listen” in the Greek language deepens our understanding of this verse
  • How the placement of the mirror at the time of this writing helps you picture what James is teaching
  • How to know if you’re this person James is talking about
