A Scandal in Bohemia, based on a short story by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, first aired in 1945. This classic episode features Basil Rathbone as the brilliant Sherlock Holmes, and Nigel Bruce as his loyal companion, Dr. Watson. Together, they bring to life the tale of Holmes' encounter with the one woman who outsmarted him, Irene Adler.
Holmes is tasked with retrieving a compromising photograph from the clever and resourceful Adler, who has had a recent romantic dalliance with the King of Bohemia. Rathbone's sharp and intellectual performance captures Holmes, while Bruce's warm and affable portrayal of Watson adds humanity to their dynamic partnership.
