And I believed that so much, I legally changed my name 19 years ago. Let’s dive in. Here’s what most people do. They try to solve problems with their imagination. And that’s the problem. Problems don’t have what they need to fix themselves. Neville said your desire has its own plan and its own power . That it’s divinely given. That it’s prophetic. And once you get that, once you really get that, You’ll understand what I mean by The Power of Personal . December 25th, 2023. I was sitting right here at the cottage. Drinking a whiskey.Smoking a cigar. And then it hit me. I remembered what it felt like to be fighting fit . Not just a memory. I was there. Back when I was a teenager. Back when I went from being a bedwetter To a karate champion.A teenage black belt. Doctors said I’d be crippled by my 20s. Didn’t happen. I lived like a professional athlete. But now I had a bum hip . Years of the experts telling me “You’ve gotta get a hip replacement.” “It’ll take two to three years, but if you started two to three years ago…” I couldn’t do it. I’m an original equipment kind of guy . So I pushed. I tried. I managed. But it was still a battle. A battle in my body. A battle in my mind. Until the Power of Personal showed up again. I wanted to do Kung Fu again. The way I used to. I used to train on staircases Because once you could fight on stairsFighting on flat ground was easy. And then it happened. I entered the state of fighting fit . Not wishing. Not fixing. Just remembering. Fully returning. Here’s the key. Being fat is a common problem. Being fighting fit is not a common desire. But it was mine. And that made all the difference. When I surrendered to that state, my entire reality shifted. People see me now and say “When did you get your hip replaced? You look great!” But I didn’t get the surgery. I got the IDENTITY . I dropped around 60 pounds of fat . I put on about 30 pounds of muscle . Not by working out for hours. Just twice a week. Thirty minutes. I swim every day because I love how it feels. I do Kung Fu every day because that’s who I am. Gym machine says I’m 48. Birth certificate says 59. I feel 35. And the big shift? I didn’t make it about the hip . I made it about my life . I used to avoid walking. Every step was pain. Now I’m seriously considering walking to the pool every day. The only reason I don’t is time . But I want to. Because everything’s changed . Because I’m living from vision. Here’s the gold. If you focus on pain , If you focus on problems , You stay in orbit. But when you drop into something deeply personal , Something lovely to you, Something that feels like YOU Your world begins to bend. So here’s what I invite you to do. Notice something personal. Not because I needed them, not for fashion, and definitely not for practicality. Nope. I became the “Pink Sunglasses Guy.” Why? Breast awareness. Now, hold on—before your mind runs wild, let me explain. I’m not talking about breast cancer awareness. I’m not interested in the disease. I'm interested in beauty . I'm interested in how we see . Because when I see beauty—real beauty—I am loving. And that's what I’m truly interested in: seeing the world through the lens of love instead of lust, gratitude instead of greed, presence instead of projection. I told people: "This isn’t about disease. It’s about awareness. It's about seeing beauty, honoring it, and letting that shift how you move through life." The Pete the Cat Connection During a recent chat, a woman told me her son wore blue sunglasses after reading Pete the Cat . “When you put on blue sunglasses,” she said, “you see the world in a whole new way.” That lit a fire in me again. What if we all wore blue or pink sunglasses? What if we chose to see the world—not through judgment, not through fear, not through the lens of lack—but through play, love, imagination?
