In many ways, worry is wonderful. God wisely wired our nervous systems to alert us when something in our world is amiss. An alarm gets triggered, we notice the threat, focus all our energies on it, and work a plan until it goes away.

However, this strategy fails when our fears are unfounded, the problem is so far in the future we don’t even know for sure if it will happen, or with things that are completely out of our control.

Thankfully, we can take those world-class worrying skills and use them as a powerful tool to learn to trust God—even when the future is cloudy and we don’t know what to do.

💡Today’s Big Idea: Notice, name, and honor your tension as you train it to turn into trust.

⚡️Today’s Small Step: Download your free Turning Tension to Trust: A-Z Characteristics of God worksheet and choose one characteristic to start meditating on today.
