Former SA Ambassador to Thailand Douglas Gibson weighs in on the Ebrahim Rasool matter. It’s all public knowledge now that Rasool has been declared an unwelcome person in the US after the country’s Secretary of State Marco Rubio called him a “race bating politician who hates America”. Tensions between South Africa and the US have been on a downward spiral since Donald Trump occupied the White House, it all started with him criticising South Africa’s new land expropriation law.
