To start the pod, Ra and I had a beautiful conversation about conscious hip hop, what it is, and how understandings of it have changed. We moved into local shows and how Ra has been getting on stages with Word Humboldt, and now, for the hip hop community. We got into a conversation about social media, not starting your day on social media, how it's not good for you spiritually, and what is better for you in the morning. We talk about how Humboldt County is an area that fosters spiritual growth. We talked at length about Nipsey Hussle, and all the seeds Nipsey planted in Ra's head as well as so many others. We gave a shout to the newly formed Humboldt Hip Hop Congress, and to Black Humboldt.

Ra is going to be dropping quite a bit of music this year. He and I talked about some of the music that's coming and how Ra is seeing it as hip hop therapy. How it might be hard for some to see it that way, until you change your perspective on the beauty of hip hop. Ra and I spent a good amount of time talking about Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers. I asked Ra who are his favorite artists right now hitting his rotation. Then we got into how Ra combines the spiritual aspect of life into his music.
