The Steelers made two trades yesterday. Mike Williams became a Steeler. Did they make the right moves? Dorin and Crowley discuss the trades. Was there anything else available on the market? Adam Theilen and Jakobi Meyers did not move, so Omar Khan cannot be criticized for that. Crowley likes the Steelers deadline more than other teams did at the deadline. What did Aaron Rodgers have to say about the Mike Williams trade? Do we really care what Rodgers has to say? Dorin and Crowley talk about how the Steelers will utilize Williams in their offensive scheme. Williams is a deep ball threat and expects Russell Wilson to utilize his height. How does the trade affect George Pickens? Will Williams hurt or help his ego? The guys agree that Wiliams will help Pickens in the room and on the field. The conversation shifts to Preston Smith. What does he bring besides his size? Marshon Lattimore is a Washington Commander. How much of an affect will he have this Sunday, if he plays? What else could the Steelers have added? Did they do enough? We take phone calls from listeners who are excited with the new additions. A deeper dive into the offense as a whole with the addition of Mike Williams. With expectations being changed with the lack of movement, the grades for Omar also change. Even though Wiliams is not the ideal guy to have gotten, he was the only one really available. A caller chimes in and says that Mike Williams "does not have to be superman". Dorin agrees and adds that Williams just needs to compliment the other pieces in the Steelers offense. A quick look ahead to the remaining Steelers schedule and the very rough road ahead. What does Mike Garafolo have to say about the Steelers trade deadline? He ends up saying that the Steelers are the biggest threat to the Kansas City Chiefs. Is he right? Do the Steelers need to win their next two games to look like AFC Championship caliber? Ray Fittipaldo joins to talk about the deadline. Ray says the moves are moves that got the depth better for the Steelers. He also says Omar Khan would not have moved higher draft picks and was comfortable with moving later picks as the Steelers will be getting later picks to replace them. He says that Preston Smith is taking DeMarvin Leal's spot as he is out for the rest of the season. Are the Steelers good enough to win the division? With all of their divisional games left on the schedule, the Steelers need to prove that they are good enough to be a threat in the AFC North as well as the AFC as a whole. Crowley goes in on a texter that says Mike Tomlin is not a Hall of Fame coach. Tomlin has the resume to get himself into the HOF. A college football minute. A deep dive into the CFP rankings that came out last night. Pitt is 18th on the list. A look around the NFL. Looking at other trades in the NFL. What did other teams do in the AFC North? Does Tre'Davious White move the needle for the Baltimore Ravens? Wednesday's With Whaley begins! What does the former NFL GM think of the Steelers trade deadline moves? He is a fan of the Preston Smith trade. He says that without late round picks, including compensatory picks, the Steelers undrafted rookie class needs to be very strong. Doug goes over the prices paid for all targets across the board. Minkah Fitzpatrick has not been the Minkah Fitzpatrick of old. What does Doug think he needs to do to get back to where he once was? We take a few phone calls as listeners ask Doug some questions. Are the Steelers good? Adam asks Doug if the Steelers can compete for the AFC North title. He says he is most worried about the Bengals and Joe Burrow. Wrapping up the show.
