God's People are Scattered Kefa, an apostle of Yeshua Hamashiach, to the strangers scattered ... (1 Kefa 1:1) Not only are we strangers, we are scattered. The word scattered comes from the word diaspora and carries the idea of that which is sown. It was derived from a Hebrew word describing the farmer sowing seed in the field. I have to say, I love farming and farmers... It is a tough, unpredictable life and calling, and I believe fully that farming is a calling of God dating all the way back to the beginnings of time. Even though they are called by God, farmers have it very tough with many obstacles coming at them every moment of every day. Remember when the 'experts' said real farm fresh butter was the worst thing in the world to eat?How about eggs? Do you remember when eggs were going to kill every human being on the planet? How often are the 'experts' terribly wrong about almost everything? Farmers have to work against all of that, and to think, the scattering of the seed after preparing the soil is the start to Life... If you stop to think about it, scattering is the start of many good things that don't seem readily good at the outset. The politically correct and post modern western evangelical hue and cry nowadays is to unify, unity, coming together... Now, that sounds really good; however, what group are you coming together with? Listen to the rest of the story THIS Sunday at 5:30pm EDT. If you are in DE, PA, MD, or NJ, JOIN US LIVE for a great meal at 5pm and then the broadcast at 5:30pm. You will be so glad you did!
