Hey kids, it's Tuesday, the 28th day of September. And it’s National Read a Child a Book You Like Day. Yeah, it’s a day to celebrate reading books to children! It’s also the birthday of an author of children's books, Kate Douglas Wiggin. Now, you may know of her by knowing some of the books she wrote, the most popular being Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm. But there’s a lot you probably did NOT know about her, but in the next couple of minutes all that can change, if you ‘ll just stick around! BECAUSE only about a year ago, I recorded a Beginning of a Famous Hero Story ABOUT her! It’s called the Kate Douglas Wiggin Story, and it starts right now!!

So, you heard that Kate’s education when she was a child was a bit...sketchy. Are YOU able to go to school every day and have a bit of ...consistency in your education? Oh, and the answer to yesterday's question: Yesterday was National Chocolate Milk Day, and I said we know where milk comes from... And we know that the chocolate we use to make chocolate milk is made with Cocoa and sugar, but here was your question: Where does Cocoa come from?

Well, Naomi, from Bridgeport, Connecticut says Cocoa originally came from the area of what is now Mexico, thousands of years ago. It comes from the Cacao tree, and cocoa is the fruit of that tree. It looks like a nut, but it is NOT a nut. It is a seed pod. And the inside of the seed pod is what is ground up to make cocoa. And there ya go! So thank you, Naomi for that!
