Austen Smith from Liquid Liner says it best, keep it simple and measure what makes the business run. Learn what makes the business run – Where do you get the most revenue? Where can you eliminate unnecessary expenses? How do you maximize your customer’s experience?

The best way Austen and the team at Liquid Liner have found to really drive the business is to establish KPI’s. Measure what can be measured. Learn from your data and teach & train individuals that want to be better to get better. Using KPI’s allows Austen to manage his team of field technicians with hard data and results as the measuring sticks.

Liquid Liner installed a compensation plan that reflects the performance each technician has toward the key performance indicators. They really put their money where their mouth is. If you are performing well, you can make more money. And it doesn’t matter if you’ve been working in the field 3 months or 30, if you perform you will get paid at the highest compensation range they have available. It is a great way to motivate field technicians to do a great job while eliminating call backs and wasteful expenses associated with poor-quality work. They promote high-quality work done right.

The team culture at Liquid Liner is contagious. You either have it or you won’t be here long. That’s a good thing. The team at Liquid Liner gets it. They all get it. They buy into the culture and working environment because they see the vision and want to be a part of something like this. Driven, ambitious, accountable people working together to serve customers and find innovative ways to solve problems. That’s a great place to work. Don’t complicate things. Try something new, innovate if you can and Liquid Liner will see if that works to improve the process. They aren’t stuck in the past, but they do adhere tightly to their vision and mission.

Liquid Liner recently announced they are expanding into the Columbus and Cincinnati markets. They have taken Akron & Cleveland with the proprietary product, technology-driven customer interfaces, and industry-leading warranty programs and are looking to continue that success into new markets. Austen is the first to give the employees credit for the quality work they do. Whether it is in preparing for and applying the unique Liquid Liner product or making it as easy as possible for their customer to d business with them, Liquid Liner is focused on the main thing.
