Finding Fulfillment in Unfamiliar Places with Milton Young
Manage episode 403694832 series 3481917
About Episode:
It seemed like the world didn’t want Milton Young to thrive. Even his guidance counselor spoke limiting belief over his future. As a first generation American he knew how to work hard, and wasn’t going to settle for anything less than his desire for more. His determination and grit to be what everyone told him he couldn’t led him to that exact place. He had money, traveled and had so many experiences. However, he lacked the joy he never knew he was seeking. A confrontation with his past forced Milton to determine if what he fought so hard to accomplish was worth it. Join Milton and I as we talk about his journey to finding joy and realizing that his passions and gifts will make a difference in the community and the world.
- Be willing to receive and be GIFTED with opportunities
- Don’t allow ANYONE to pour disbelief over you regardless of their intentions
- Show up, be determined and you can achieve what you put your mind to
- The money IS NOT everything, there is so much more to be fulfilled
- Knowing the person across from you, take the time to understand them
- Being kind CAN be a part of you and your framework when you “flex the muscle” each day
- Do the things that make you uncomfortable or you fear. They might just be the things that bring you the most joy
- Live in the uncomfort because you never know what will happen as a result of that action
- Don’t STOP because that can be the ONLY difference between where you want to be and who you want to become
- It is ok to desire abundance and your heart is to change lives and make a difference
- Choosing uncomfort is hard BUT it will allow you to grow
- Be so uncomfortable that being comfortable feels uncomfortable
